Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.7 “A Hero’s Eternal Past” Arrives March 24
HoYoverse has officially announced that Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) Version 2.7, titled “A Hero’s Eternal Past,” will launch on March 24, 2026. This update propels Proxies into the grand “Hollow Hero” tournament hosted by TOPS. Expect to fight alongside old friends and unexpected new allies in a quest for glory, rare rewards like the Porcelloy W-Engine, and a deeper look into the mysteries of the Outer Ring.

Facing the Shadows: The “Dark Wolf” Romeul
As the tournament heats up, a dangerous figure from the past emerges. Romeul, known as the “Dark Wolf” and a former sweeper for the Sons of Calydon, has entered the fray despite being wanted by the authorities.
In combat, Romeul utilizes a Corruptive Barrier, which grants him massive CRIT DMG resistance and Anti-Interrupt levels while constantly draining the player’s HP. To defeat him, Proxies must focus on Attribute Anomaly damage to shatter his barrier efficiently—a new tactical layer that will challenge your team composition skills.
New S-Rank Agents: Nangong Yu and Cissia
Version 2.7 introduces two powerful new characters to the New Eridu roster:
- Nangong Yu (S-Rank | Ethereal | Stun): A member of the Angels of Delusion, she excels at building Daze through her “Downbeat” mechanic. Her Ultimate, Ether Veil: Delusion Reprise, significantly boosts the entire team’s ATK, creating perfect windows for burst damage.
- Cissia (S-Rank | Electric | Attack): An officer from the Public Security department, Cissia manages a unique Venom resource. This resource enhances her CRIT Rate and Electric damage, which can be unleashed rapidly through her “Serpent’s Kiss” basic attacks for massive burst potential.
Fan favorites Yidhari (Ice/Slash) and Seed (Electric/Attack) will also see their banners rerun during this version.
Hot Pots and Virtual Combat Updates
Beyond the new story and characters, Proxies can participate in several new events:
- “The Simmer” Hot Pot Event: Help Manager Blaze at Lumina Square’s trendiest eatery. Complete hot-pot-themed minigames to earn Polychromes and unique rewards.
- Hollow Special Ops: A high-skill challenge requiring three teams of two characters to battle in a tag-team format.
- Virtual Combat Update: New enemy groups and score multipliers are being added, allowing competitive players to climb the leaderboards for exclusive titles and namecards.
Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.7 will be available on PlayStation 5, PC, iOS, and Android. Get ready to turn up the heat in New Eridu this March!
