Arknights: Endfield Player Spends 6 Hours Building FMA Transmutation Circle

Arknights: Endfield Player Recreates Giant Fullmetal Alchemist Transmutation Circle

In the world of sandbox and base-building games, players will always find a way to let their imaginations run wildโ€”even if it means dabbling in a little dark alchemy. A highly dedicated Arknights: Endfield player recently went viral for using the game’s factory mechanics to perfectly recreate the terrifying Nationwide Transmutation Circle from the legendary manga and anime, Fullmetal Alchemist.

While this in-game version thankfully doesn’t require sacrificing millions of souls to create a Philosopher’s Stone, it did require an immense amount of patience and precise engineering.

A 6-Hour Alchemical Masterpiece

The mastermind behind this impressive (and slightly ominous) project is a Korean player named Ateri, who proudly shared screenshots of their achievement on the DCInside forums.

Inspired by Hiromu Arakawa’s iconic manga, Ateri painstakingly laid out the massive array in the city of Wuling. The design features the exact overlapping pentagrams enclosed within a giant circle, taking up a massive portion of the map.

According to Ateri, the sinister structure is cleverly disguised as standard water irrigation channels, requiring meticulous placement of liquid transport pipes to achieve the perfect geometric shape.

Made Possible by Update 1.1’s Underground Conduits

This creative feat was made entirely possible by the recent Version 1.1 Update (titled Old Deep Water Dies by Rising Tide It is Denied).

The update introduced a highly requested base-building feature: Underground Conduits. This new system allows players to lay resource pipelines beneath the surface, effectively bypassing the limitations of rough, uneven terrain.

  • Extended Reach: Pipes can now connect over distances of up to 200 meters.
  • Unintended Creativity: While the developers intended for this to streamline factory logistics, players quickly realized it was the perfect tool for drawing massive, map-wide magical symbols without surface obstacles getting in the way.

This fun experiment is a perfect example of how gaming communities will always push the boundaries of in-game tools. As long as developers provide the sandbox, players will continue to build jaw-dropping (and sometimes deeply nerdy) monuments.

For those looking to try their hand at base building, Arknights: Endfield continues to draw attention for its deep strategic gameplay. Whether you are optimizing a factory or preparing a nationwide transmutation, playing on a high-spec PC will definitely help you appreciate the intricate details of those underground pipes!
