ASUS x Xreal AR Glasses Launch With 240Hz Power
ASUS ROG and Xreal have opened pre-orders for their new AR gaming glasses.
The device is available through Best Buy at $849, or around ฿27,800.
ASUS also plans to open sales through its official website on May 17.
A premium AR screen for gaming
The new AR glasses cost more than the popular Xreal One Pro, which sells for $649, or around ฿21,300.
The higher price comes with upgraded gaming-focused features.
The biggest highlight is a 240Hz refresh rate, which puts the glasses closer to high-end gaming monitor territory.
The package also includes a docking box that helps the glasses connect more easily with consoles, PCs, and other devices.
A huge virtual display
The glasses keep several key features from Xreal’s flagship design.
They offer a 57-degree field of view.
This can simulate a massive 171-inch screen when viewed from a distance of 4 meters.
The resolution remains 1080p.
The source article notes that some users may expect higher resolution at this price, but tiny micro-OLED panels at 1440p or 4K remain difficult to produce.
