Where Winds Meet Adds Imperial Palace and Yuen Woo-ping

Where Winds Meet has officially launched Imperial Palace, the second major expansion for Everstone Studio’s open-world Wuxia ARPG.
The expansion is now live across PC, PlayStation 5, and mobile platforms. Players can now enter the mysterious Eastern court, explore hidden royal treasures, and uncover deadly conspiracies inside the Song empire’s seat of power.
To mark the launch, Everstone Studio also revealed a major partnership with legendary action director and choreographer Yuen Woo-ping. He has officially joined the team as Global Action Consultant.
Imperial Palace opens the royal court
The new Imperial Palace expansion invites players beyond the golden veil of the Eastern court.
This new chapter brings secret treasuries, dangerous royal plots, and long-buried secrets tied to the highest powers of the Song empire. The update aims to deepen the game’s world of Jianghu with palace intrigue, mystery, and high-stakes martial drama.
For players who enjoy exploration and narrative-driven action, this expansion gives another major reason to return. The royal court setting also adds a stronger political edge to the game’s already rich wuxia atmosphere.
Yuen Woo-ping joins Where Winds Meet
The biggest announcement is the arrival of Yuen Woo-ping as Global Action Consultant.

Yuen Woo-ping is one of the most respected action directors and choreographers in cinema. His work includes major titles such as The Matrix, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Kill Bill, and Kung Fu Hustle.
His involvement gives Where Winds Meet a stronger connection to authentic martial arts choreography. Everstone Studio aims to raise the game’s combat fluidity, impact, and cinematic wuxia style through his guidance.
Yuen Clan brings motion capture expertise
The collaboration will also involve the Yuen Clan, Yuen Woo-ping’s legendary stunt and kung fu film team.
The group will actively participate in motion capture sessions for the game. This means future martial arts animations can draw from real performance, body movement, and film-grade combat rhythm.
Upcoming martial arts disciplines, including Drunken Boxing, Spear, and Staff techniques, will be refined with master-level craftsmanship. Players can expect future combat to feel sharper, more expressive, and more physically grounded.
A stronger time to enter Jianghu
With the gates of the royal court now open, Where Winds Meet is entering a major new phase.
The launch of Imperial Palace expands the game’s world, while Yuen Woo-ping’s involvement strengthens its action identity. Together, both announcements give players a strong reason to forge their legend in the Jianghu now.
The Imperial Palace Expansion Launch Trailer is also available now through the official video link.
Where Winds Meet already had a strong wuxia identity, but this update makes that direction feel even more serious. The Imperial Palace expansion gives players a richer political and royal mystery setting, while Yuen Woo-ping brings unmatched action credibility. His involvement could help the game stand out from other open-world ARPGs, especially if future combat animations capture the elegance and impact of classic martial arts cinema. For Southeast Asian players who love wuxia, this is a powerful moment to jump in.
