Lost Hellden Brings Hand Drawn JRPG to Mobile

To celebrate the second anniversary of Crunchyroll Game Vault, fans of Japanese inspired RPGs received a major announcement. The service confirmed that Lost Hellden, the hand drawn JRPG from Artisan Studios, is officially coming to mobile devices after previously launching on PC and consoles. The move brings the game to a wider audience as Crunchyroll continues expanding its premium catalog of handpicked titles.

What Is Lost Hellden

Lost Hellden is a visually striking JRPG that uses traditional hand drawn illustrations enhanced by a new Deep 2D technology. This technique allows players to explore a three dimensional world built from hand painted artwork with dynamic lighting and weather effects. The game features a party system with eight customizable characters, each offering unique playstyles that combine action and tactical combat. Players are encouraged to experiment with abilities, strategies, and team compositions to master battles and adapt to different scenarios.

Story And Setting

The game takes place on the planet Era where every newborn must undergo a sacred ritual known as the Nexus. During the ceremony, each person is bound to one of the Seven Sins before reaching one year old. Throughout their lives, citizens must resist the inner impulses driven by their assigned sin. Those who fail transform into violent creatures without reason, and the religious order known as Unio has the authority to eliminate anyone who loses control.

The story ignites when a woman gives birth to twins, something that has never occurred on Era. The highest leader of the planet, Prime Arkhon, performs the Nexus ritual personally. Something goes terribly wrong. One twin inherits all seven sins, while the other receives none. The twins are taken to the capital city of Avilah and raised within the sacred walls. They are forbidden from leaving or discovering the truth behind their existence.

Years later, the twin burdened with all seven sins, Leht, escapes the city. His brother Cyphel is ordered to track him down and bring him home. Cyphel is accompanied by seasoned Arkhons named Gram and Enki. Their journey becomes more than a retrieval mission. It becomes a story of identity, destiny, and personal awakening as both twins struggle to understand who they are and what they are meant to become.

THIS IS OUR SAY

Lost Hellden stands out in a sea of RPGs because it feels crafted, not manufactured. The hand drawn visuals, combined with its emotional narrative and fresh RPG mechanics, show that the genre can still evolve without sacrificing artistry. Bringing the game to mobile through Crunchyroll Game Vault opens the door for more players to discover a title that blends style, storytelling, and soul in a way big budget games often fail to deliver.
