30 Hidden Secrets in Resident Evil Requiem: From RE2 to Village (Part 1)

Easter Egg is something that the creators secretly put in the game and has a connection to the Resident Evil installments. If you’ve played all the Resident Evil installments, you’ll be like, “Oh, this one is from that part!”
In this article, I would like to introduce the Easter Egg that appears in all the games that I have played. Readers can follow the link below.
Alright. Let’s take a closer look at what Easter Eggs are in Resident Evil Requiem!
WARNING! This article contains spoilers for the game Resident Evil Requiem.
1. Grill Fourteen is a continuation of Grill 13.

In the opening scene of RE Requiem, when Grace begins to force her, she walks down the aisle. The first point that we can notice is the restaurant called “Grill Fourteen”, which if you are a fan of the RE series, you will definitely notice that the name used is similar to the restaurant “Grill 13” that appeared in the original Resident Evil 3, but changed from 13 to 14.
2. Mr.X Dress

The first cutscene in which Grace has just arrived in Wrenwood will have an incident where she walks into a man who is dressed similarly to Mr. X in Resident Evil 2 (Remake). The kind that anyone who sees it has to say yes!
3. Ethan Winters’ Easter Egg

If you observe people walking on the streets, We will meet a man who is dressed similarly to Ethan Winters, the protagonist of Resident Evil 7 and Village.
4. Dulvey Beer, the beer that only appears in Resident Evil 7

On the glass of the Grill Fourteen restaurant, there is a Dulvey Beer sign, which is a beer that only appears in Resident Evil 7. In the Baker family’s home, you can see this beer scattered all over the house. By the way, this brand of beer does not exist in the real world.
5. M. Warren, Mayor of Raccoon City

The name M. Warren (90) in Grace’s Investigation Report cannot be attributed to anyone else. In addition to the former mayor of Raccoon City, Michael Warren, who was involved in Umbrella’s biological weapons experiments and fled the city early in the T-Virus outbreak in Raccoon City alone, leaving his daughter at the police station with R.P.D. Police Commander Brian Irons. He surrendered to the U.S. Army that was besieging the area, and then there was no more information about him until the voice of life in RE Requiem.
6. E. Wilkins, a person with the same last name as Mark Wilkins from Outbreak

In addition to Michael Warren’s name in the Investigation Report, there is another name with a familiar surname for RE fans: E. Wilkins, a person with the same last name as Mark Wilkins, the main character from Resident Evil Outbreak, a former security guard who used to work in Raccoon City, but it is not possible to confirm if this character is related to Mark or just a character whose last name is accidentally added to this file.
7. Like Mother, Like Daughter

During the time when the player forces Grace and uses the keybreaker to open a drawer in Rhodes Hill, they will receive the achievement Like Mother, Like Daughter, which is a reference to mother and daughter Alyssa and Grace Ashcroft. So when we use Grace to wipe the key in the game, it’s the same as Alyssa’s actions.
8. MO Disk, an item from the early days of Resident Evil

The MO Disk or Magnetic Optical Disk, a hybrid storage medium that uses both lasers and magnetic heat to read or write data, was popular in the past (in the 80s-90s), and in Resident Evil, this was used as a key item from the very beginning. Cut back to the modern era, although Resident Evil has very advanced technology, this MO Disk is still used in the story of the Requiem installment. But of course, the team should have conveyed it as a small Easter Egg because it has been used in many games. Region.
9. Leon’s Porsche license plate hints at the main installment in which he appeared.

Leon’s Porsche license plate is a hint of the part where he appears as the protagonist that we can force to play (ND has a player who jokingly says that it stands for Never Die).
10. Leon’s watch and gun with a bird’s wing may represent Clair Redfield.

If we look at the Requiem gun and the watch that Leon is wearing, the designs of the two will have a bird’s wing attached to it, which the team may be referring to Clair Redfield (RE2 Remake) where we can see her wearing a jacket with a wing pattern, as well as her own necklace in the shape of a feather.

11. Shadow Ghost book with a presentation method similar to Village Shadows

Early in the game in Rhodes Hill, where we control Grace, you’ll find the Shadow Ghost picture book that presents a creepy story. This book is similar to the Village Shadows book that Mia Winters (Miranda) read to Rose at the beginning of the Village section.
12. Door animation that slowly opens

Leon came to the Rhodes Hill Patient Care Center and waited in the room taken by the nurses until something went wrong and the nurse opened the door. The animation scenes will gradually zoom in slowly, which is similar to the animation of opening the door to Spencer’s mansion in the first part.
13. Avernico = Veronica

This has been a topic of debate among fans, “This is a hint of the next remake, right?”
14. Moon The stars and the sun.

Moon Puzzle It is a puzzle with pictures that RE fans will definitely feel familiar with, because this kind of puzzle has already appeared in the first Resident Evil.
15. Victor Gideon’s ring has a snake-shaped symbol similar to Jack Krauser’s knife.

If we look at Victor Gideon’s ring, there is a ring with a curved snake pattern, which is similar to the snake pattern on the knife used by Jack Krauser, one of the enemies from Part 4.
16. Unicorn, a symbol of opening the way forward

In RE Requiem, we will find a door with a unicorn pattern on it, and you will need to find the “Red Jewel” item to enter to open the door of this room.
17. The program version of the blood analyzer secretly tells you something.

If we try to observe the version that appears on the screen of the blood analyzer, then we can observe it. This version of the number will indicate the release date of the original Resident Evil 2 game released in the United States, and the release date of the game is January 21, 1998. Back to the past.
18. Stakeout Takeout Charm

This item can be found by opening the door of the kitchen storage room, which is an item that increases the knife’s attack power and durability.
19. Blister Head, a mutation similar to Crimson Head

The enemies in Requiem, Blister Head, have a mutation method similar to Crimson Head from Resident Evil (Remake). If a normal zombie dies without breaking its head, and a certain amount of time passes, the zombies will mutate and revive with their strength. Their speed, speed, and ferocity are doubled.
If we play as Grace and have the Hemolytic Injector item with us, we will be able to play as a Hemolytic Injector with her. When walking past a corpse with a head still with a head, you will be instructed to use this item (to prevent it from mutating and resurrecting), which is similar to Crimson Head, where players have to pour petrol and light a lighter on a dead zombie (which still has a head) to burn the corpse to prevent it from mutating to be resurrected.
20. The doll that The Girl (Marie) collected is an Easter Egg that represents Donna from the Village region.

In the basement jail of the Rhodes Hill Care Center, there is a room where The Girl collects dolls in piles (because Marie has not mutated yet. This is a demonstration of Easter Egg, Donna Beneviento’s dollhouse from the Village arc, where the whole house is filled with dolls she created, and it also shows that both characters have similar interests and hobbies.
21. Sanguis Virginis, a wine from the Dimitrescu family

During the time I play Grace and find the helicopter keys. We can find this bottle of wine in Victor’s office, which is the same wine that Ethan found in the Village arc.
Sanguis Virginis is a wine produced in the vineyards of the Dimitrescu family, which dates back to the 15th century and is one of the most elaborately produced. The meaning of the letters on the bottle translates into English as “Blood of the Virgin”.
22. The jeep that Leon drove to Raccoon City is still in place.

During the cutscene where Leon is driving into Raccoon City in RE Requiem, if we look at the Mizoil gas station, we can see that the Jeep that Leon drove in at RE2 (Remake) is still in its original state in a broken state.
23. The Raccoon City Times Final Edition

As soon as Leon arrives in Raccoon City, we can see the final newspaper page in the cutscene. After the cutscene, walk a little straight down the street and you’ll find a file that can be stored, which is the same newspaper.
In Raccoon City, there are many news publishers, such as Raccoon Today, The Raccoon Press, and Daily Raccoon (the news agency where Alyssa works). and The Raccoon City Times have also appeared in the film version of Paul W. S. Anderson’s Resident Evil.

The Raccoon City Times newspaper in the movie
24. Umbrella’s Billboard That Remains

A lot of things in Raccoon City have been almost completely destroyed by the force of the missile blasts, and it’s been years, but one thing that still stands is the Umbrella billboard, and it’s a picture that many fans will remember from Resident Evil 2 (Remake).
25. Applegate Hotel may be the same venture as Apple Inn.

If you think about it, the Applegate Hotel in RE Requiem could be a name change from the Apple Inn that appeared in Outbreak (due to the similar name), or it could be a subsidiary with the same owner.
26. Same movie poster as Resident Evil 3 (Remake)

Inside the Requiem Regional Train Station, we can find pale leather posters on the walls, which are the same posters we found in RE3 (Remake).
27. Stagla Gas Station

The Stagla gas station is pretty obviously a remake of the same name as the one that players encountered in the original Resident Evil 3, with a new logo design that looks a little different from the original.
28. Easter Egg from the movie Resident Evil: Vendetta

The scene where Leon rides his motorcycle to R.P.D. and finds Victor and Garmr interfering.
29. Typewriter ink cartridges, nostalgic items

The Ink Ribbon is an important item for classic Resident Evil players, as it allows players to save information on a typewriter. The number of items in the game is limited. Therefore, think carefully before every use. This makes you have to fight the thrill of survival in each episode and part of what makes the game even more challenging.
In Resident Evil Requiem, this item is back for players to use. In Classic mode, which is a mode that reminds players of the old way of playing.
30. Easter Egg Grace’s Apocalypse Costume

Grace’s Apocalypse costume received from the game pre-order will look similar to Alice’s (Milla Jovovich) outfit from Resident Evil: Extinction.
How did you feel about the Easter Egg article of Resident Evil Requiem (Part 1). It originated from many parts of Resident Evil in the past, right? When I played it, I felt good about it. Did you enjoy this article? If you like it, stay tuned for Part 2!
