Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.1 “Chaos Unto Dawn” Arrives March 25
Global interactive entertainment developer HoYoverse has officially announced that Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.1, “Chaos Unto Dawn,” will launch on March 25, 2026. This major update continues the journey on Planarcadia, where the Astral Express crew is invited to the grand “Star Rail Festival”—a celebration modeled after historic interstellar travels. However, beneath the festivities, a dark conspiracy is brewing, requiring the keen eyes of detective Ashveil to uncover the truth.
Exploring the Star Rail Festival in Planarcadia
The centerpiece of Version 4.1 is the “Star Rail Festival,” a massive exhibition organized by Pearl, the executive president of Planarcadia. The festival features three immersive zones celebrating the Trailblazer’s past adventures:
- Belobog Zone: Featuring giant balloon battles inspired by Cocolia and the Engine of Creation.
- Xianzhou Luofu Zone: A recreation of the Scalegorge Waterscape and the duel with Phantylia.
- Penacony Zone: A tribute to the struggle against Septimus, set to the melodies of Robin.
Players will also gain access to the Pearlux Tower, the headquarters of the Pearlux Corporation, which features mechatronics activities and the latest “Alloy King Pom-Pom” action figure models.
New Playable Character: Ashveil (The Hunt: Lightning)
Following the cliffhanger of the previous story arc, the “unreliable” but brilliant detective Ashveil officially joins the roster. As a Lightning-Type character following the Path of The Hunt, Ashveil is a specialist in single-target pursuit.
- Technique: Inflicts “Daze” on enemies in the overworld, preventing them from attacking.
- Combat Mechanics: Ashveil increases the team’s CRIT DMG and designates a single enemy as a “Decoy.” While a Decoy is on the field, all enemies suffer from reduced DEF.
- The Pack Hunt: When allies attack the Decoy, Ashveil launches follow-up attacks, accumulating “Voracity.” Once fully stacked, his follow-up attacks are further enhanced, allowing him to jump to the next target immediately after a kill—like a hungry wolf that never stops the chase.
New Events and Gameplay Updates
- Chronicles of the Ethereal Dust: A tactical event at Graphia School where Trailblazers lead Ethereal units into battle using strategy cards and Gacha-enhanced spells.
- Divergent Universe Update: A new stage, “Records of the Blissful Land,” introduces the “Mask of Joy” system, allowing for area-specific exploration and increased rewards.
- Generous Rewards: Players can log in after the update to claim 10 Star Rail Special Passes through the check-in event.
- Double Drop Events: “Planar Fissure” and “Garden of Plenty” will return, offering double rewards for Planar Ornaments and enhancement materials.
