Ragnarok Origin Classic Hearth Test CBT now live
Ragnarok Origin Classic CBT has officially begun, marking a major milestone for Gravity Game Vision’s latest MMORPG project. Alongside the limited Hearth Test, the developer also unveiled full details of the “Tyr Cup,” an annual global competition featuring a massive $1,000,000 prize pool.
Limited Hearth Test now live
Gravity Game Vision released the first official promotional video and confirmed the start of the Hearth Test CBT. The test runs with limited player slots and will wipe all data after it concludes.
The promotional video invites players across Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and other regions to return to Prontera and relive the classic RO adventure. The game emphasizes a Monthly Pass-focused monetization model designed to promote fairness and reduce pay-to-win mechanics.
Before this small-scale test, the development team gathered player feedback and implemented improvements based on community suggestions. Due to positive reception, the team expanded CBT participation beyond its original plan.
Tyr Cup announced with $1,000,000 prize pool
In parallel with the CBT launch, Gravity revealed the Tyr Cup as one of the most important annual events for Ragnarok Origin Classic.
The tournament aims to become one of the largest MMO competitions globally. It features a total prize pool of $1,000,000 USD, with $500,000 awarded to the championship team.
Classic 5v5 competitive format
The Tyr Cup will follow the traditional Thor Cup-inspired format. Teams consist of 10 members competing in 5v5 battles.
Victory depends on professional team composition, coordination, and strategic execution. To maintain fairness, ranking rounds will use standardized stats. This approach minimizes the impact of character level differences and progression gaps.
Because of this structure, the competition focuses on skill and teamwork rather than spending power.
Pre-registration rewards available
Ragnarok Origin Classic is now open for pre-registration on both the App Store and Google Play. Players who sign up can receive special rewards, including Mini Angel Wings.
