Apple has officially introduced a new laptop lineup called MacBook Neo, positioning it as a stylish yet more affordable entry into the MacBook ecosystem.
The announcement has generated strong interest among Apple fans because the device aims to deliver Apple’s signature design and performance while maintaining a significantly lower price compared to many other MacBook models.
Powered by the A18 Pro chip
At the heart of MacBook Neo is the A18 Pro, one of the latest Apple Silicon chips designed to deliver strong performance in everyday tasks.
According to Apple, the chip provides up to 50 percent faster performance compared with many traditional PC laptops, while also improving AI processing capabilities by up to three times. This makes the device well suited for tasks such as photo editing, productivity work, and features powered by Apple Intelligence.
The laptop operates without a cooling fan, allowing it to run completely silently while maintaining efficient performance.
Lightweight design with vibrant colors
MacBook Neo features a durable aluminum body and weighs just 1.24 kilograms, making it easy to carry for students, creators, and professionals on the go.
The device comes in four color options:
- Blush
- Indigo
- Silver
- Citrus
These bright colors give the laptop a more playful appearance compared to the traditional MacBook lineup, helping it stand out in both work and personal settings.
Liquid Retina display and improved camera
The MacBook Neo is equipped with a 13 inch Liquid Retina display capable of producing up to one billion colors with brightness reaching 500 nits.
This allows the screen to remain clear even in bright environments while delivering sharp visuals for media consumption or creative work.
The laptop also includes a 1080p FaceTime HD camera paired with dual microphones, making it ideal for online meetings and video calls.
Battery built for all day use
Battery life is another highlight of the new device. Apple claims the MacBook Neo can run for up to 16 hours on a single charge, allowing users to work or study throughout the day without needing to carry a charger.
The device also features the familiar Magic Keyboard and a large Multi Touch trackpad, both designed to deliver the smooth and precise input experience that Apple laptops are known for.
Seamless Apple ecosystem integration
MacBook Neo ships with macOS Tahoe, which offers deep integration with other Apple devices such as the iPhone.
Users can copy text or images from their phone and paste them directly onto the laptop. The system also supports iPhone screen mirroring and other continuity features that make switching between devices seamless.
macOS Tahoe also includes long term software updates and strong built in security systems to help protect user data.
A surprisingly affordable MacBook
Perhaps the biggest surprise is the pricing.
MacBook Neo launches with a starting price of about 19,900 THB, while the education price begins at around 16,900 THB for students.
This positions the laptop as one of the most affordable MacBook models Apple has ever released, potentially opening the ecosystem to a wider range of users.
Apple has confirmed that the MacBook Neo will become available in SEA soon.
