GTA Online Brings Back Classic Missions with Creator Collaboration

GTA Online Revives Classic Missions with Creator Collaboration
Rockstar Games is leaning even further into community-driven content, and this time, it’s bringing nostalgia along for the ride. GTA Online has officially partnered with popular creator GTA Series Videos to remake iconic missions from GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas.
Community Mission Series Begins
This collaboration kicks off a brand-new initiative called Community Mission Series, where Rockstar works directly with selected creators to deliver curated experiences.
The first set of missions, titled Old School Hits, reimagines classic objectives using modern GTA Online systems and engine. It’s a chance for players to relive memorable moments with updated mechanics and visuals.
How to Play the Remade Missions
Players can jump into these missions easily through the in-game menu:
Online > Rockstar Creator > Old School Hits
Available platforms include:
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox Series X|S
- PC (Enhanced version required)
Note: These missions are not available on PS4 or Xbox One.

Limited-Time Rewards
To celebrate the launch, Rockstar is offering 4x GTA$ and XP for players who complete these missions during the promotional period. It’s the perfect incentive to dive back into some old-school chaos.
Rockstar’s Push for Player Creativity
This move builds on Rockstar’s recent efforts to expand sandbox creativity within GTA Online.
Key developments include:
- Acquisition of FiveM
- Launch of Rockstar Mission Creator (December 2025)
- Tools for building custom PvE missions for up to 8 players
Players can now design their own scenarios, control NPC behavior, and even use exclusive locations not seen in the base game.
A New Era for GTA Online
By blending official content with community creativity, Rockstar is redefining how GTA Online evolves. The Old School Hits missions are just the beginning, and more collaborations could be on the way.
For longtime fans, it’s a trip down memory lane. For new players, it’s a chance to experience the roots of GTA in a modern format.
Back to the Streets
Whether you’re chasing nostalgia or just looking for fresh content, GTA Online’s Community Mission Series delivers both. And with rewards on the line, there’s never been a better time to jump back in.
