iPhone 18 Pro Rumored Specs and Features Ahead of September Launch

iPhone 18 Pro Rumors Heat Up Ahead of September Launch

The countdown has begun for Appleโ€™s next major release. Even though September is still months away, leaks surrounding iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are already gaining momentum, revealing what could be one of the biggest upgrades in recent years.

Display Changes and New Design Direction

One of the most talked-about changes is the display. Reports suggest that parts of the Face ID system will move under the screen, reducing the size of the Dynamic Island.

This change could deliver a cleaner, more immersive viewing experience by increasing usable screen space compared to previous models.

In terms of colors, Apple is rumored to introduce a new Dark Cherry finish alongside existing options like Light Blue, Dark Gray, and Silver.

The display sizes will remain the same at 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, but will be upgraded to LTPO+ technology, improving power efficiency and extending battery life throughout the day.

A20 Pro Chip and Next-Gen Connectivity

A major leap comes from the new A20 Pro chip, expected to be manufactured using 2nm technology by TSMC for the first time.

This upgrade promises:

  • Faster performance
  • Improved power efficiency
  • Better thermal management

The device is also rumored to feature Appleโ€™s third-generation C2 modem, supporting satellite-based 5G connectivity, allowing internet access even in low-signal areas.

Additionally, a new N2 chip is expected to enhance Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth performance, ensuring more stable and faster connections.

Camera Upgrades with Pro-Level Control

The camera system could see one of its biggest upgrades yet.

Leaks point to a 48MP Fusion main camera with variable aperture, giving users more control over light and depth, similar to professional cameras.

Apple is also reportedly simplifying the Camera Control button. The new design may remove touch and haptic feedback, focusing purely on physical press input for faster and more precise shooting.

Refined Build and Materials

The rear design is also getting a subtle refresh.

The Ceramic Shield area for MagSafe is rumored to adopt a frosted finish, creating a smoother and more unified look while reducing color contrast differences seen in previous models.

These refinements highlight Appleโ€™s continued effort to push premium design and user experience further with each generation.

What to Expect at Launch

Apple is expected to unveil:

  • iPhone 18 Pro
  • iPhone 18 Pro Max
  • Possibly a foldable iPhone

This will likely be followed by standard models such as iPhone 18, iPhone 18e, and iPhone Air (2nd generation) early next year.

Pricing has not been confirmed yet, but based on current trends, it could start around $999 and go up to $1,199.
