Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy 3v3 Team Boss Battle Arena Mobile Game Launched

Final Fantasy fans are getting excited again. Square Enix officially announced the release of a new entry in the Dissidia series, Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy, a 3v3 Team Boss Battle Arena mobile game that will pit heroes from all parts of Final Fantasy against each other in a new battleground full of fun and legendary vibes.

New Combat in Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy

According to Square Enix, Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy is a 3v3 team battle game that focuses on fighting large bosses on an intense battlefield. But they hide their identities. This led people to dub them Ghosts.

The gameplay revolves around “Monster Hunting” near crystals to purify the dark energy and collect “Bravery”, and then players can use this power to unleash the “Bravery Burst” ultimate to deal massive damage to the boss.

The characters in the game are divided into 4 main roles:

• Ranged (ranged attack)
• Melee (Melee Attack)
• Support
• Agile (fast moving and good evasion)

In addition, the game comes with a full Japanese voiceover. A variety of costumes designed for the modern era, and a “Memoria” system collected from other Final Fantasy series to increase character stats, as well as a soundtrack taken from the original game with a remastered version.

In Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy, fans will meet heroes from several installments returning with original voices, such as:

Warrior of Light (Final Fantasy I) – A versatile support character who stands strong on the front lines.

Kain Highwind (Final Fantasy IV) – Spear Warrior Expert Semi-Ranged Attack

Krile Mayer Baldesion (Final Fantasy V) – A support character who specializes in healing and sharing his courage with his teammates.

Terra Branford (Final Fantasy VI) – A ranged attack mage who can control enemies with air attacks.

Cloud Strife (Final Fantasy VII) – A balanced swordsman who can handle any situation.

Rinoa Heartilly (Final Fantasy VIII) – A character with mysterious powers and a wide range of attacks.

Zidane Tribal (Final Fantasy IX) – Thief Expert Stealing Bravery from Enemies

Lightning (Final Fantasy XIII) – Fast-moving, highly mobile characters

Gia (Final Fantasy XIV) – A warrior who can increase the speed and power of enemies.

Prompto Argentum (Final Fantasy XV) – A sniper who excels at attacking from a distance and coordinates with his team excellently.

In addition, the game invited famous artists to design special moves such as “Ultimate Shield” by Raita Kazama, “Grand Lethal” by Toshiyuki Itahana, “Angel Wing” by necomi, and “Minwu/Teleport” by Yoshitaka Amano.

Nomura Confirms “DUELLUM” Is Team DISSIDIA’s New Challenge

Creative Director Tetsuya Nomura spoke out about the history of the Dissidia series from the first installment in 2008 to the present, with DUELLUM being the sixth installment of the franchise and another effort by a young team who want to “challenge the limits” of the series once again.

He also revealed, “We developed DUELLUM with the intention of creating something new for players to experience, and now we feel like the game is in a place where everyone can try it. We hope that players will participate in the Closed Beta to give us guidance so that the game comes out in the best possible condition.”

Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy’s Closed Beta Test will be open for registration in the United States and Canada until October 28, 2025, and will be available between November 7–14, 2025, with a limit of approximately 20,000 participants.
