Nihon Falcom has officially announced Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, a full remake of the classic JRPG The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC. Serving as the direct sequel to the recently announced 1st Chapter remake, this title is set for a global release in Fall 2026. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, with GungHo Online Entertainment handling the Western publishing.

The story returns to the Kingdom of Liberl, picking up immediately after the dramatic conclusion of the first game. Players follow Estelle Bright as she embarks on a new journey to discover the truth behind the disappearance of her partner, Joshua. Along the way, she must face the mysterious “Ouroboros” organization, which has begun moving from the shadows to threaten the peace of the realm.
The game promises a gripping narrative featuring massive set pieces, from burning capital cities to mysterious giant airships looming in the skies. As the secrets of the “Shining Ring” unfold, players will witness the profound growth of Estelle and her allies within a web of complex conspiracies and long hidden secrets.
