Samsung Unveils 2026 Odyssey Gaming Monitors with 6K Glasses-Free 3D

Samsung Electronics has officially unveiled its 2026 Odyssey gaming monitor lineup, introducing five new models that push the boundaries of resolution, refresh rate, and immersive visual technology. Headlining the announcement is the world’s first glasses-free 6K 3D gaming monitor, alongside displays capable of reaching unprecedented refresh rates, positioning Odyssey as a flagship solution for both hardcore gamers and professional creators.

Samsung Expands the Limits of Gaming Display Technology

According to Samsung executives, the latest Odyssey lineup is designed to deliver experiences never before seen in the display industry. From true 3D visuals without the need for external glasses to ultra-high-speed panels reaching up to 1,040Hz, the new monitors aim to fundamentally change how users interact with digital content. The focus is on smoother motion, faster response times, and heightened realism across gaming, esports, and creative workflows.

Odyssey 3D G90XH: World’s First Glasses-Free 6K 3D Gaming Monitor

The centerpiece of the lineup is the 32-inch Odyssey 3D (G90XH), officially recognized as the world’s first glasses-free 6K gaming monitor. It uses real-time eye-tracking technology to dynamically adjust depth perception based on the user’s viewing position, creating a natural and continuous 3D effect without additional hardware.

The display supports a 165Hz refresh rate, which can be boosted up to 330Hz via Dual Mode, and Samsung has confirmed that multiple high-profile game developers are already preparing titles specifically optimized for its 3D visual effects.

Odyssey G6 G60H: Built for Extreme Esports Speed

For competitive esports enthusiasts, Samsung introduced the 27-inch Odyssey G6 (G60H), the first gaming monitor in the world to reach a 1,040Hz refresh rate when operating in HD resolution via Dual Mode. The monitor also supports native QHD resolution at up to 600Hz, ensuring exceptional clarity and motion smoothness.

To maintain visual stability, the G6 is compatible with both AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible, minimizing screen tearing during high-speed gameplay.

Odyssey G8 Series: From 6K to OLED

The Odyssey G8 series expands into three models, covering 6K, 5K, and OLED configurations. The flagship 32-inch G80HS stands as the industry’s first 6K gaming monitor, while the OLED G80SH features a 4K QD-OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate.

The OLED model also supports DisplayHDR True Black 500 and includes DisplayPort 2.1, enabling high-bandwidth data transmission ideal for next-generation GPUs and content creation workflows.

Samsung Maintains Global Gaming Monitor Leadership

Citing data from IDC, Samsung reports that it continues to hold the top position in the global gaming monitor market for displays with refresh rates above 144Hz, commanding 18.8% revenue share. The company is on track to maintain its leadership for a seventh consecutive year, reinforcing Odyssey’s status as a dominant force in high-performance displays.

The full Odyssey 2026 lineup will be showcased publicly for the first time at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, taking place from January 6–9.
