PUBG MOBILE has introduced Unfail, its first-ever asymmetric PvP mode, at Gamescom 2025 in Cologne, Germany. This mode is set to be a part of the upcoming Version 4.0 update and offers a fresh gameplay experience that diverges from the traditional battle royale format.

What Is Unfail?

Unfail is a high-stakes, pursuit-and-escape game mode where five players engage in a tense showdown. One player takes on the role of the Predator, equipped with unique abilities to hunt down and eliminate the other four players, known as the Survivors. The Survivors must collaborate to activate terminals scattered across the map and open an exit gate to escape before the Predator catches them. The mode emphasizes psychological tension, cooperation, and asymmetric strategy, blending horror-inspired atmosphere with survival mechanics.

Gameplay Mechanics

• Predator’s Abilities:
  The Predator possesses distinctive powers designed to track, chase, and eliminate Survivors. As the Predator eliminates Survivors, their Rage Meter fills, unlocking stronger abilities, such as a shadow jump, enhancing the horror experience.
  
• Survivors’ Tasks:
  The Survivors must work together to activate terminals and open the exit gate. This requires coordination and quick decision-making under pressure.
  
• Map Features:
  The map includes interactive elements like electric barriers that deal damage upon contact, fire extinguisher devices that release smoke to obscure vision, and terminal quick-time events that add urgency and unpredictability to the gameplay.
