Resident Evil Requiem RTX performance enhanced in new driver

NVIDIA releases Game Ready driver for Resident Evil Requiem

NVIDIA has officially rolled out its latest GeForce Game Ready driver optimized for Resident Evil Requiem. The update focuses heavily on visual realism, introducing advanced Path Tracing alongside DLSS 4 technologies.

With this release, PC players using GeForce RTX hardware can experience enhanced lighting, reflections, and shadow accuracy designed to elevate the horror atmosphere.

Path Tracing and DLSS 4 enhancements

The new driver enables full Path Tracing support, allowing more accurate global illumination and realistic light bounce from multiple sources. Reflections on glass surfaces and environmental shadows now appear more natural and immersive.

In addition, DLSS 4 arrives with Multi Frame Generation and DLSS Ray Reconstruction. Together, these features boost performance while maintaining high image quality. Owners of the GeForce RTX 50 Series can push frame rates significantly higher, even at maximum settings and high resolutions.

Story and gameplay context

Resident Evil Requiem follows Grace Ashcroft and Leon S. Kennedy as they investigate a mysterious death tied to the Raccoon City incident of 1998. Players can switch between first person perspective for closer immersion or third person over the shoulder combat for a more action oriented experience.

Ultimate Upgrade promotion

To celebrate the launch, NVIDIA introduced an Ultimate Upgrade promotion. Customers who purchase eligible GPUs such as GeForce RTX 5090, 5080, 5070 Ti, or 5070, including supported laptops, receive a copy of Resident Evil Requiem at no additional cost. The promotion runs until March 16.

Cloud option via GeForce NOW

Players without high end hardware can still access the game through GeForce NOW. The Ultimate membership tier supports Path Tracing and DLSS 4 streaming, enabling high quality gameplay across compatible internet connected devices.

Additional driver support

Beyond Resident Evil Requiem, the new driver also adds support for upcoming tests such as Marathon’s Server Slam, featuring DLSS Super Resolution and NVIDIA Reflex to reduce input latency.

Users can download the latest driver through the NVIDIA app or the official GeForce website to ensure optimal performance before entering the nightmare.
