Resident Evil Requiem community stats reveal surprising ending results

Resident Evil Requiem statistics reveal most players reached the bad ending

One week after the launch of Resident Evil Requiem, developer Capcom has released several community statistics that reveal how players are experiencing the game so far.

The most surprising statistic shows that 56 percent of players reached the Bad Ending during their first playthrough, suggesting that many players struggled with the choices and challenges required to reach the better outcomes.

The data also highlights how deeply the global community has engaged with the latest entry in the long-running Resident Evil series.

Global player statistics reveal massive engagement

According to the data shared by Capcom, players worldwide have already completed the game millions of times during its first week.

Some of the most notable statistics include:

  • Total game completions: 6.3 million
  • Average first playthrough time: 16 hours 48 minutes
  • Total combined playtime worldwide: equivalent to 8,842 years

These numbers highlight just how active the player community has been since the game launched.

Combat statistics show intense battles

Resident Evil Requiem’s survival gameplay has also produced massive combat numbers across the global player base.

The community has collectively defeated 2.8 billion enemies, though the struggle has not been easy.

During the same period, players have died more than 120 million times while trying to survive the horrors within the game.

These numbers illustrate just how challenging the game can be, especially during the first playthrough.

Resource usage across the community

Survival horror gameplay often depends heavily on resource management, and the data shows that players have been using large amounts of items to stay alive.

Global resource statistics include:

  • Items crafted: 929 million
  • Ink Ribbons used: 38 million
  • Total blood collected: 15 million liters

These figures demonstrate how much experimentation players have done while learning the systems and mechanics during their early runs.

Hidden secrets and puzzles keep players searching

The statistics also reveal how players interact with some of the game’s hidden secrets.

One of the most mysterious puzzles involves a severed hand that must be analyzed to solve a key mystery. According to the data, this puzzle alone has been examined more than one million times by players attempting to uncover its solution.

Another interesting statistic relates to a hidden Easter egg connected to Albert Wesker. More than 1.2 million players searched the library in the Raccoon City Police Department in order to find the famous hidden photo related to the character.

The statistics also reveal which weapons players have relied on the most when fighting through the nightmare.

The most used weapons based on total kills are:

  1. Requiem – 269 million kills
  2. Chainsaw – 86 million kills
  3. Rocket Launcher – 39 million kills

These weapons appear to dominate combat encounters across the global player community.

A challenging survival horror experience

Resident Evil Requiem is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

The game pushes survival horror intensity further with a branching narrative system that allows player choices to directly affect the fate of Leon S. Kennedy.

With multiple endings, powerful bosses such as Victor Gideon, and complex puzzles waiting to be solved, it is clear why many players ended up facing the Bad Ending during their first run.

For those who want to see a different outcome, however, there is always another playthrough waiting.
