Apple A19 chip powers new iPhone 17e benchmark results

iPhone 17e benchmark reveals strong A19 chip performance

Early benchmark results for iPhone 17e have appeared on Geekbench 6, offering a closer look at the device’s performance powered by the Apple A19.

The results show that the iPhone 17e achieves a multi core score of up to 9,241, placing it extremely close to the standard iPhone 17, which averages around 9,249 points in similar tests.

This suggests that in general processing tasks, the performance difference between the two devices is almost negligible.

GPU difference between iPhone 17e and iPhone 17

While CPU performance appears nearly identical, one notable difference lies in the graphics hardware.

The iPhone 17e uses a 4 core GPU, whereas the standard iPhone 17 includes a 5 core GPU. As a result, the iPhone 17e scores slightly lower in graphics benchmarks.

In Geekbench Metal tests, the iPhone 17e records scores between 31,000 and 31,500 points, compared to roughly 37,000 points for the iPhone 17.

However, for everyday users who are not constantly running graphically intensive games or applications, this difference may be difficult to notice in real world use.

Performance comparison with other iPhone models

Benchmark comparisons show clear generational improvements across recent iPhone models.

iPhone 17A199,249
iPhone 17eA199,241
iPhone 16 ProA18 Pro8,625
iPhone 16eA187,977

The results indicate that the A19 powered iPhone 17e delivers a major jump in performance compared with the previous generation.

Hardware upgrades beyond the processor

Although the external design of the iPhone 17e remains similar to the earlier iPhone 16e, several internal upgrades have been introduced.

These include support for MagSafe, improved wireless connectivity through Apple’s second generation C1X modem, and a higher starting storage capacity.

The base model now begins at 256 GB, doubling the capacity offered by the previous generation.

Pricing and release details

In the United States, the iPhone 17e launches with a starting price equivalent to around USD 649, matching the launch price of the iPhone 16e.

The device began pre-order on March 4 and is scheduled for official release on March 11.

With flagship level CPU performance powered by the A19 chip and a relatively accessible price point, the iPhone 17e is shaping up to be one of the most attractive value options in Apple’s smartphone lineup this year.
