Iconic RPG Granblue Fantasy Launches on Steam!Commemorative Social Media Giveaway Campaign Announced
Video game publisher and developer Cygames, Inc. (HQ: Shibuya, Tokyo; President: Koichi Watanabe; hereinafter referred to as โCygamesโ), in conjunction with video game illustration, design, planning, and development studio CyDesignation, Inc. (HQ: Shibuya, Tokyo; President: Hideo Minaba; hereinafter referred to as โCyDesignationโ), have announced a Steamยฎ version of the landmark RPG Granblue Fantasy. Service is set to launch on Mar 10, 2026, coinciding with the gameโs twelfth anniversary.
What is Granblue Fantasy on Steamยฎ?
Granblue Fantasy is a classic JRPG that first launched in Japan for mobile devices and web browsers in 2014. Now, for the first time, new players outside of Japan can join the experience through Steam!
Inside, player will find a deep, turn-based combat system packed with nuanced mechanics, elemental strategies, and an enormous array of skills to pull from. Cinematic charge attacks, team-based chain bursts, and towering summons elevate the battles with both devastating effectiveness and dazzling visuals. Whether tackling raids solo or joining fellow skyfarers in real-time co-op raids, thereโs always a new challenge to conquer. With more than 70 distinctive classes and robust character and weapon progression, thereโs a wealth of content to explore and optimizeโperfect for dedicated adventurers.

With the Steam release, the game will be playable in a 16:9 interface for the first time.

Players residing outside of Japan will be able to access Granblue using their Steamยฎ accounts, and enjoy a redesigned layout optimized for a 16:9 widescreen displays, a departure from the original vertical layout used on Mobage, GREE, DMM, and Yahoo! platforms. Please note that this service wonโt be available in certain regions, including Japan. Additionally, players will not be able to play the Steamยฎ version with preexisting accounts from other platforms, nor will they be able to transfer data from those accounts to the Steamยฎ version. The Steamยฎ version is available in English and Japanese.
