The Elder Scrolls: Blades Ends Service on June 30

The Elder Scrolls: Blades Officially Shutting Down After 6 Years of Service

It has been exactly six years since the launch of The Elder Scrolls: Blades, a free-to-play spin-off that brought a surprisingly authentic Elder Scrolls experience to mobile devices and the Nintendo Switch. Featuring engaging combat and a deep storyline comparable to the mainline entries, the game carved out its own dedicated player base. However, all good things must come to an end. Bethesda has officially confirmed that the game will terminate its services in the middle of this year.

Shutdown Date and Massive Farewell Event

When players log into the game, they are now greeted with an official notice stating that the servers will permanently close on June 30. Players can continue to access and play the game normally until that exact date.

To give the game a proper send-off, Bethesda has launched a massive farewell promotion. Currently, every single item in the game has been heavily discounted to cost just 1 Gem or 1 Sigil. Furthermore, players can now claim the game’s premium currency completely for free directly from the in-game store. The development team implemented this so that all players can easily unlock and experience every piece of content the game has to offer before the servers go dark.

A Message from Bethesda

In their final statement, Bethesda expressed deep gratitude to the players for their unwavering support over the past six years. They hope that everyone who downloaded the game enjoyed their time in the world of Tamriel.

The developers encourage fans to jump back in one last time to experience everything the game has to offer—whether that is finishing the main story campaign, battling other players in the online PvP Arena, or diving into the real-time randomized dungeons.

About The Elder Scrolls: Blades

For those unfamiliar with the title, the game follows the story of a highly trained soldier from the legendary order of the Blades. Forced into exile and hunted by a villainous empire, you return to your hometown only to find it completely reduced to rubble.

Players are tasked with rebuilding their city from scratch to its former glory. The game features a robust single-player campaign full of quests, alongside a challenging roguelite endless dungeon mode known as “The Abyss.”

The game remains fully playable until June 30 on iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch.
