inZOI 1-Year Update: Cars, Crime & GTA Vibes

inZOI Players Stunned as Game Turns Into GTA VI Following New Car Stealing and Crime Update
Time flies! inZOI, the hit life simulation game from publisher KRAFTON, Inc., has just released a massive update to celebrate its 1-year Early Access anniversary on March 26. Let’s take a look at all the exciting new details.
This is a massive, incredibly satisfying update for fans. The main content additions include:
- New Business Systems: Flower shops, cinemas, and tip jars.
- Mini Map Upgrades: Added new map filters and toggle options.
- Functional Mobile Phones: Characters can now actively make and receive calls.
- Calendar & Festivals: Celebrate events like the Spring Festival, Halloween, and New Year.
- Driving Systems: Fully functional driving mechanics and parking lots.
- Expanded Crime: Added new criminal activities, most notably car stealing.
- And much more (you can read the full patch notes on the official Steam news page).
One specific new system that players are heavily focused on is driving. While this is a highly requested feature that The Sims 4 still hasn’t provided, the fact that inZOI coupled it with a car theft mechanic is giving players major Grand Theft Auto vibes.

Fans are flooding the update comments, jokingly calling it the “GTA VI update” and teasing that “We got GTA in inZOI before GTA VI.” Of course, the basic crime system has been in inZOI for a while, with some players previously finding themselves thrown in jail over confusing situations. Therefore, stealing a car carries that exact same risk of imprisonment—if you get caught, that is!
inZOI is currently available to play in Early Access on Steam.
