Apple is reportedly developing three new smart home devices aimed at transforming houses into intelligent ecosystems. At the core of this initiative is the use of Apple Foundation Models enhanced through Google Gemini, signaling a major leap in AI capability. On the business side, there is speculation that John Ternus, Apple’s potential future CEO, faces pressure to successfully launch this new product category, similar to how Tim Cook previously drove the success of transformative products. However, analysts believe Apple is not under urgent pressure, as revenue from core products like the iPhone and MacBook remains strong even without aggressive AI features in recent years.
