Digimon Story Time Stranger Graphics Details Revealed for Nintendo Switch 1 & 2

Next-gen version supports 4K/30FPS or 1080p/60FPS options

Even though it arrives later, it is definitely coming. The RPG that impressed fans of the DigiDestined last year, Digimon Story Time Stranger, stands out as one of the most engaging entries in the series, featuring a compelling storyline and a fully packed system that lives up to expectations.

Now that the game is preparing to launch on both the original Nintendo Switch and the newer Nintendo Switch 2, some adjustments have been made to ensure a smooth gameplay experience on each platform.

Switch 1 and Switch 2 Performance Differences

BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment has officially revealed the technical specifications for the game on Nintendo’s hybrid consoles.

For the Nintendo Switch 2 version, players will be able to choose between different graphical modes, while the original Switch version will have scaled-down performance. However, it still maintains a sharp and clear Full HD presentation, offering a solid option for players who want to enjoy the digital world on the go.

Nintendo Switch 1 Version

Frame rate: Target 30FPS

Nintendo Switch 2 Version

Players can choose between two modes:

Quality Mode

Resolution:
- Up to 4K (TV mode)
- 1080p (Handheld mode)
Frame rate: 30FPS
Includes HDR support

Performance Mode

Resolution:
- 1080p (both TV and Handheld modes)
Frame rate: Up to 60FPS
No HDR, resulting in less vibrant visuals and slightly more noticeable rendering artifacts

For players who prioritize smoother gameplay, Performance Mode offers a more fluid experience, while Quality Mode focuses on visual fidelity.

Free Upgrade for Cartridge Users
