Genshin Lunar 7 Unleashes Nicole

Genshin Impact Version Lunar 7 Launches On May 20
HoYoverse has announced that Genshin Impact Version Lunar 7, Puranas of Ashen Sunyata, will launch on May 20.
This major update sends players back to Sumeru for a new Archon Quest chapter. The land of wisdom now faces a worsening crisis that throws the region into chaos.
Version Lunar 7 also introduces 3 new playable characters. Players will meet Nicole, the first playable member of the Hexenzirkel, alongside Lohen and Prune.
The update also brings limited-time events, new Wonderlands additions, and several system improvements for returning players.
A New Crisis Shakes Sumeru
The new Archon Quest brings an unprecedented crisis to Sumeru.
Nahida has fallen into a mysterious sleep that no one can easily explain. Her condition pushes Sumeru into disorder and uncertainty.
At the same time, a strange new enemy appears. This figure resembles Il Dottore, who many believed had already been defeated.
The threat pulls several familiar and new allies into the conflict. Players will fight alongside Collei, Thoth the King of Kula Birds, Nicole, and other returning companions.
The crisis sets the stage for a larger battle around Sumeru’s future. It also brings fresh emotional stakes to one of Genshin Impact’s most important regions.
Players who complete this quest within the limited period can earn up to 560 Primogems. They can also receive Nicole ascension materials and unlock a new weekly boss.
This new boss comes with unpredictable abilities. It can summon massive destructive power, which should make the fight more intense.

New Story Tools Help Returning Players
Version Lunar 7 also adds helpful story features.
A new system called Guide Log will summarize in-game story content for returning players. This should help players who want to catch up before entering the new chapter.
The update also adds more reminders for auto-saving. These improvements aim to make story progression smoother.
This matters because Genshin Impact now has a large story archive. Players who return after several updates may need help remembering major plot points.
With Guide Log, the game should make its expanding narrative easier to follow.
Nicole Becomes The First Playable Hexenzirkel Witch
The biggest character highlight is Nicole Reeyn.

She is the first playable witch from the Hexenzirkel. The game describes her as a voiceless angel who can communicate directly inside other people’s minds.
Nicole joins the roster as a 5-star Pyro Catalyst character. She brings excellent team support abilities.
Her Elemental Skill grants an attack boost to the whole party. This buff also affects off-field characters.
The skill also creates a protective shield. This makes Nicole useful for both offense and survival.
Her Elemental Burst summons a mysterious shadow that follows the active character. This shadow performs coordinated attacks.
The coordinated attacks can also change based on the element of the active character. Under the Hexerei: Secret Rite effect, these attacks become even stronger.
Outside combat, Nicole can use Seelie power through her Charged Attack. This helps guide players toward nearby treasure chests.
That makes her useful during both exploration and battle. She looks like a strong support pick for players who enjoy flexible team setups.
Nicole’s Witch Garden Gets Expanded
Version Lunar 7 also expands Nicole’s gathering area, known as the Witch’s Garden.
For the first time, players can enter the interior of the witch hut. The area will include new rooms, new stories, and secret rewards.
These rewards will unlock weekly. That gives players a reason to revisit the space during the update cycle.
This addition should excite players who enjoy character lore and cozy exploration spaces.
The Hexenzirkel has long been one of the more mysterious groups in Genshin Impact. Giving Nicole her own expanded space could reveal more about their world.
Lohen Joins As A 5-Star Cryo Fighter
The update also introduces Lohen.
He is the deputy leader of the 5th Company of the Knights of Favonius. He arrives as another new 5-star character.

Lohen uses a polearm and controls Cryo power. His battle style focuses on aggression and resource management.
He uses 2 combat resources called Pleasure and Fighting Spirit. These resources help him unleash massive Cryo damage.
His Elemental Skill activates the Masterstroke state. In this state, he can build and spend Pleasure to release a special Elemental Skill.
Fighting Spirit builds through the combat actions of teammates. This resource increases his strength further.
When players team him with Hex characters, Lohen can unlock even more combat potential.
His Story Quest will also explore the Knights of Favonius from a new angle. This should give fans fresh insight into the organization.
Prune Arrives As A New 4-Star Witch Hunter
The third new playable character is Prune.

She calls herself a certified Witch Hunter approved by Alice. She joins the game as a new 4-star Anemo Catalyst character.
Prune uses bells and a giant hammer in battle. Her kit focuses on multi-element damage and Swirl reactions.

Her unusual weapon combination gives her a distinct identity. She also adds playful chaos to the update’s character lineup.
In the first half of Version Lunar 7’s Event Wishes, Nicole and Prune will debut. Durin will also return during this phase.
The second half will feature Lohen and a rerun of Mavuika.
Limited-Time Event Stars Klee’s Little Witch Society
Version Lunar 7 also brings a new limited-time event.
This event focuses on Klee’s Little Witch Society. Players can enjoy several minigames with characters like Qiqi, Yaoyao, Sayu, and the new character Prune.
The event offers many rewards. One of the highlights is a special weapon appearance called Cool Magic Key.
This event looks lighter and more playful than the main Sumeru crisis. It should give players a fun break between heavier story moments.
The inclusion of Klee, Qiqi, Yaoyao, Sayu, and Prune also gives the event a cute, chaotic energy.
More Wonderlands Content Arrives
The update also expands Wonderlands content.
Miliastra Wonderland will host a special sports competition for players to join.
Wonderland mannequins can now perform poses across Teyvat. Players can use the photo gadget to capture these moments and save memorable scenes.
Version Lunar 7 also adds further updates to editing tools and materials.
This gives creative players more options. It also makes Wonderlands feel more connected to the wider world of Teyvat.
