Rayman Legends Retold Brings Dreamy Platform Fun

Rayman Legends Retold Launches This October
Ubisoft has officially announced Rayman Legends Retold during Sony’s State of Play.
The game is a remake of the classic platformer and is scheduled to launch on October 1.
Rayman Legends Retold will be available through Ubisoft+, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, GeForce Now, Blacknut, and PC through Ubisoft Connect, Steam, and Epic Games Store.
This new version brings back the dreamlike platforming adventure while adding modern upgrades for a new generation of players.
A Classic Platformer Reimagined
Rayman Legends Retold is developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Milan.
The game builds on the charm of the original 2013 release while making the adventure feel fresh again.
This version adds stunning 3D graphics, a brand-new story, and fully voice-acted cutscenes.
Players will once again join Rayman, Globox, Barbara, Grand Minimus, and Murphy.
Their new adventure takes them back to the Glade of Dreams, a magical world now threatened by a shadowy villain spreading chaos across every kingdom.
Solo Play And 4-Player Couch Co-Op
Players can enjoy Rayman Legends Retold alone or with friends.
The game supports same-screen Couch Co-op for up to 4 players.
This keeps the lively and chaotic multiplayer spirit that made the original game so fun.
Players will jump, glide, and punch through colorful platforming stages filled with secrets, enemies, and hidden Teensies waiting to be rescued.
The game also introduces a mysterious sixth kingdom that has never been revealed before.
This gives returning fans something new to discover while keeping the classic platforming energy intact.
Ubisoft Wants To Preserve Rayman’s Magic
Loïc Gounon, Brand Producer for the game, said Rayman Legends Retold is the team’s way of returning to what made Rayman special.
According to him, the team wants to preserve everything fans loved while bringing the experience to a new generation.
He also said Legends gives the perfect foundation to expand Rayman’s lore, the logic of the world, and how everything connects together.
That direction makes this remake more than a simple visual upgrade.
It also aims to deepen the world and give players more context behind the adventure.
Refined Gameplay And New Challenges
Rayman Legends Retold improves the gameplay experience while bringing back beloved stages.
Players can return to carefully selected classic levels, ride dragons through exciting sequences, and test their skills in the Cave of Trials.
The game also adds 4 brand-new music stages.
These levels continue the series’ tradition of combining rhythm, platforming, and wild visual energy.
Players can also explore the Glade of Dreams in a more vivid and immersive form.
New characters, secrets, and surprises will appear across the adventure.
Kung Foot Returns With Upgrades
The fan-favorite mini-game Kung Foot is also returning.
This competitive football-style mode now comes with improved controls, power-up items, and customizable rules.
That should make matches more flexible and more exciting.
Kung Foot became one of the most memorable side modes in the original game because of its chaotic multiplayer fun.
With the new upgrades, it could become an even stronger party mode in Rayman Legends Retold.
For players who love friendly competition, this mode may offer hours of laughter and rivalry.
Expanded Soundtrack With New Music
Music remains an important part of Rayman Legends Retold.
Throughout the adventure, players can enjoy an expanded soundtrack.
The music combines fan-favorite original melodies with new tracks from renowned composers Christophe Héral and Grant Kirkhope.
This is especially fitting because Rayman Legends is already known for its musical platforming stages.
New tracks should help the remake feel fresh while still respecting the sound of the original adventure.
Editions And Pre-Order Bonus
Rayman Legends Retold will launch with a suggested retail price of $39.99 or €39.99 for the Standard Edition.
Players who pre-order any version of the game will receive the Hoodlum Havoc Pack.
This pack includes 2 costumes for Rayman and Globox inspired by Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc.
The Standard Edition includes the main game and Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition.
Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition features upgraded 4K resolution, 60 FPS, new collectibles, new rewards, modern improvements, haptic feedback support for compatible controllers, and new accessibility features.
Deluxe And Launch Editions
The Deluxe Edition will be available digitally.
It includes the main game, Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition, the Retro Pack, and an Art Gallery.
The Retro Pack includes 4 costumes: Classic Rayman Outfit for Rayman, Betilla The Fairy Outfit for Barbara, Retro Hunter Outfit for Globox, and Electoon Teensie Outfit for Grand Minimus.
The physical Launch Edition includes the main game, Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition, a printed Glade of Dreams map, 3 lithographs, and a slipcase.
A digital Deluxe Upgrade Pack will also be available.
It includes the Retro Pack and Art Gallery.
A Dreamy Return For Platformer Fans
Rayman Legends Retold looks like a strong return for one of Ubisoft’s most charming platforming franchises.
The remake brings back fast platforming, vibrant worlds, hidden Teensies, co-op chaos, music stages, and Kung Foot.
At the same time, it adds new visuals, new story content, full voice acting, and more lore for the Glade of Dreams.
For longtime fans, this looks like a warm return to a beloved world.
For new players, it could become the perfect entry point into Rayman’s strange, colorful, and playful universe.

THIS IS our take
Rayman Legends Retold feels like the kind of remake that understands why the original worked. The new visuals and voice-acted story are exciting, but the real magic is still the fast platforming, co-op chaos, music stages, and Kung Foot madness. If Ubisoft keeps the charm intact, the Glade of Dreams may feel alive all over again.
