Street Fighter 6 Confirms Tifa Lockhart As A New Fighter
CAPCOM has officially announced that Street Fighter 6 will enter Season 4 this August, bringing a fresh lineup of fighters through Character Pass Year 4.
This new year of content will feature a completely refreshed roster of characters. Every fighter in the pass will make their debut as a playable combatant, giving players new styles to master across the game’s competitive battlefield.
The lineup includes Yasmine from the Philippines, Arjun from India, Bosch from the story mode, and a major crossover addition that should excite RPG fans: Tifa Lockhart.
Tifa Lockhart Enters The Fight
The arrival of Tifa Lockhart marks the second major crossover for Street Fighter 6, following its earlier collaboration with Fatal Fury during Year 2.
In the game’s story setup, Tifa was traveling with Cloud and his allies during their mission to stop the meteor. However, she accidentally gets transported into a new world, placing her directly into the world of Street Fighter 6.
Tifa’s fighting style fits the game naturally. She specializes in close-range martial arts, making her a strong match for a series built around hand-to-hand combat, spacing, pressure, and timing.
Her special skills will be called Abilities, and the source suggests that they may also involve the power of Materia. This could give her combat style a unique identity while still keeping her grounded as a physical fighter.
Year 4 Fighter Release Schedule
The first fighter in Character Pass Year 4 will be Yasmine, who will debut this August.
After that, Arjun will arrive during the autumn window, around September to November. Tifa Lockhart will follow in early 2027, while Bosch will close the year of content during spring 2027, around March to May.
This release structure follows the same support style used in previous years.
However, all 4 fighters will not receive story content through World Tour mode. Instead, players can still look forward to additional content and collectible artwork through Arcade mode.
