Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton Revealed

Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton Announced As A Survivors Royale Game

Shueisha Games and poncle have officially announced Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton, a new action game based on the popular manga and anime series Jujutsu Kaisen.

The announcement was made during Nintendo Direct June 2026, immediately catching attention because of the team behind the project. poncle is best known as the developer of Vampire Survivors, one of the games that helped popularize the modern bullet heaven formula.

This time, that addictive survival-style gameplay is being reimagined through the world of cursed energy, sorcerers, curse users, and cursed spirits.

Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton is planned for release in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.

A New Survivors Royale Experience

Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton introduces itself as a Survivors Royale game.

Instead of a traditional fighting game or story-based action RPG, players enter fast-paced battles where they must survive against waves of cursed spirits while competing against rival players.

The goal is not only to defeat enemies. Players must earn points, grow stronger during the match, disrupt opponents, and reach the final showdown.

This gives the game a different identity from past Jujutsu Kaisen titles. It takes the survival-action structure fans may know from Vampire Survivors, then adds competitive pressure through score chasing and player-versus-player tension.

Up To 8 Players Online

The game supports online matches with up to 8 players.

Each player enters the battlefield as a character from the Jujutsu Kaisen universe, fighting through large numbers of cursed spirits while trying to outscore the competition.

For players who prefer to play alone, the game also includes a solo offline mode where they can play with AI.

This gives the game flexibility. Competitive players can jump into online battles, while solo players can still enjoy the cursed spirit chaos without needing to face real opponents every match.

Auto Attacks Let Players Focus On Movement

One of the main gameplay systems follows poncle’s familiar style.

Characters attack automatically, allowing players to focus on movement, positioning, and timing instead of manually pressing attack buttons nonstop.

This kind of design makes the game easier to understand, but not necessarily easy to master.

Players still need to move carefully, avoid enemy swarms, manage space, collect resources, and choose the right moment to use stronger tools. Since the game also includes rival players, positioning becomes even more important.

A bad movement decision could mean losing points, getting trapped, or giving an opponent the advantage.

More Than 20 Playable Characters

Fans can expect a large character lineup.

Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton will include more than 20 playable characters from the world of Jujutsu Kaisen.

The confirmed examples include Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, Kento Nanami, Yuta Okkotsu, and Satoru Gojo.

Each character will have unique skills and a different playstyle, giving players a reason to experiment and find the fighter that best matches their approach.

For fans of the series, this roster could become one of the game’s biggest attractions.

Domain Expansion And Black Flash Can Change The Fight

The game will also include signature techniques from Jujutsu Kaisen.

After building up their power gauge, players can unleash powerful character-specific moves. These include famous techniques such as Domain Expansion and Black Flash.

These abilities can help turn the situation around and directly pressure nearby rivals.

In a match where players are racing for points and trying to survive chaotic monster waves, a well-timed special move could completely shift the flow of battle.

This is where the game’s anime identity becomes important. It is not just using the license for skins. The mechanics are designed around the power fantasy of cursed techniques.

Rule Addition Adds More Chaos

One of the most interesting mechanics is Rule Addition.

Every time players earn 100 points by exorcising curses, they can activate a special rule that affects the match.

These rules can disrupt opponents, steal momentum, interfere with scoring, or shake up the leaderboard.

This system seems inspired by the kind of rule-based chaos that fits naturally with Jujutsu Kaisen, especially for fans familiar with the series’ more tactical curse battles.

Instead of only farming enemies as quickly as possible, players need to think about when to trigger rules and how to use them to climb the rankings.

Matches End With A 1v1 Final Duel

Each match lasts around 15 minutes.

As the timer runs out, the game selects the top 2 players based on score. These players then face each other in a final 1v1 duel.

This final duel decides the winner.

The idea is simple but exciting. Players spend the match building their character, collecting skills, gaining buffs, and earning points. Then the two strongest competitors must settle everything directly.

That gives every match a clear climax. Even if a player dominates the score board, they still need to prove they can win when the final fight begins.

A Big Collaboration Between Jujutsu Kaisen And Vampire Survivors DNA

The project stands out because of its unusual collaboration.

Jujutsu Kaisen brings a globally recognized anime and manga universe filled with cursed energy, iconic characters, monsters, and memorable techniques.

poncle brings the addictive survival gameplay DNA that made Vampire Survivors such a major indie hit.

Together, the two sides create something that feels different from the usual anime game format.

Instead of another standard arena fighter, Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton turns the franchise into a chaotic survival competition where builds, score chasing, rule manipulation, and final duels all matter.

Wishlist Available Now

Players interested in the game can already add Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton to their wishlist on supported store pages, including Steam.

More details about the exact launch date, gameplay footage, character roster, and Nintendo Switch 2 version are expected in the future.

For now, the game is confirmed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam in 2026.

Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton feels like a smart match between anime power fantasy and poncle’s survival-action formula. The 8-player Survivors Royale setup, automatic attacks, Rule Addition system, 1v1 final duel, Domain Expansion, Black Flash, and roster of more than 20 characters give it a strong identity beyond a simple licensed game. If the balance feels right, this could become a very addictive pick for both Jujutsu Kaisen fans and players who enjoy chaotic bullet heaven-style battles.
