PS Plus Extra June 2026 Adds Final Fantasy XVI to the Game Catalog

After players enjoyed the free games from PlayStation Plus Essential earlier this month, the middle of June now brings another update for the Game Catalog available to PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe members.

This month should be especially exciting for RPG fans because the lineup includes major titles from both Japanese and Western gaming, led by Final Fantasy XVI, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and Black Desert Online.

The new games will gradually become available from 16 June onward.

1. Final Fantasy XVI

Final Fantasy XVI is the latest mainline entry in the legendary JRPG series.

The story follows Clive, who becomes involved with a group of people known as the Dominants. These individuals can control powerful summoned beings called Eikons, mysterious special powers that eventually become tools of politics and war.

In this world, even ordinary soldiers can become key figures on the battlefield because of the power connected to the Eikons.

Gameplay in this entry shifts strongly toward real-time Action combat, giving the series a more intense battle style compared to older traditional formats.

2. Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a first-person open-world RPG where players take the role of Henry, the son of a blacksmith.

Henry is pushed into a brutal civil war after an attack takes away his family and destroys his hopes for a normal life. After narrowly surviving the violence, he takes up the sword to avenge his parents and confront the invading forces.

The story takes place in medieval Bohemia, a setting filled with historical realism.

At the same time, players have freedom to choose their own actions, making the journey feel personal and shaped by the choices they make along the way.

3. Black Desert Online

Black Desert Online is a popular MMORPG supported by tens of millions of players around the world.

The current standard version features a major graphics upgrade and offers many activities for players to enjoy. These include dungeon runs, questing, exploration, fishing, cooking, monster hunting, and open-world life content.

One of the biggest highlights of Black Desert Online is its detailed character creation system.

Players can customize many parts of their character, including facial structure, skin color, hairstyle, and more, allowing them to create a character with a high level of freedom.

4. Life is Strange: Double Exposure

Life is Strange: Double Exposure is a Narrative Point-and-Click Adventure game that focuses on storytelling through the actions and decisions of the main character.

This entry features a supernatural murder mystery theme and brings back Max, the protagonist from the first game.

Now an adult, Max works as a photographer at a university. Her ordinary life changes when her close friend Safi dies under mysterious circumstances.

Because of this, Max decides to use her mysterious Rewind power once again to turn back time and try to save her friend.

5. Sonic X Shadow Generations

Sonic X Shadow Generations is a collection divided into two main parts.

The first part is Sonic Generations, a remastered version of Sonic’s journey across different lands. In the story, Sonic’s friends are captured by the time monster Time Eater, forcing him to revisit adventures from past eras.

The stages are divided into Classic style, designed to feel like older Sonic games, and Modern style, which presents current-era 3D Sonic gameplay.

Players can also complete side missions to unlock collectibles.

The second part, Shadow Generations, is an action game with its own story that runs alongside the main content.

Other Games Arriving This Month

Other titles that will become available within this month include:

  • Blades of Fire
  • Farming Simulator 25
  • Gitaroo Man for Deluxe members

About PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe

PlayStation Plus Extra and PlayStation Plus Premium, known as Deluxe in some SEA markets, are currently available as PlayStation’s expanded subscription services.

These plans combine features from PS Now and PlayStation Plus, including Cloud Saving, online multiplayer access, game discounts, and access to a large library of quality titles from both first-party and third-party publishers.

The library includes games from PS1, PS2, PS4, PS5, and PSP, depending on the available plan and region.

THIS IS our take

This month’s PS Plus Extra lineup is strong, especially for players who enjoy RPGs and story-driven games. Final Fantasy XVI is clearly the headline title, but Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Black Desert Online, Life is Strange: Double Exposure, and Sonic X Shadow Generations also give subscribers a wide mix of action, adventure, MMO, and narrative experiences. For Extra and Deluxe members, June 2026 looks like a very busy month.
