Wild Wild Eden Announced as an Anime-Style Open-World Survival RPG

Crafting game fans and monster lovers have something new to watch. Shueisha Games, together with Malaysia-based developer Magnus Games Studio, the team behind the well-known monster-raising game Re:Legend, has officially announced its brand-new project titled Wild Wild Eden.
Some fans may already recognize the game, as it was first revealed in 2023 under the codename Project Survival.
Wild Wild Eden is scheduled to launch in Early Access on PC via Steam in spring 2027, which points to the early part of the year.
Players can watch the announcement trailer through the source article.
Game Information
Wild Wild Eden is an Open-World Survival Crafting RPG that moves away from the harsh and gritty image often associated with survival games. Instead, it presents the experience through high-quality anime-style visuals that look beautiful and easy on the eyes.
The story takes players to a new planet full of wonder after humanity’s original world suffers a disaster and can no longer be lived in. This new world is filled with floating islands, ancient civilization ruins, and many mysterious creatures waiting to be discovered.
One of the game’s biggest highlights is its pet and monster system. According to the developer, these creatures are not just tools used for convenience or disposable resources. They are treated as family and members of the player’s tribe, with feelings, cute behaviors, and the ability to grow while building a warm bond with the player.
Key Features
- Explore a wide fantasy world: Journey through deep forests, climb tall mountains, dive into the deep sea, and uncover secrets hidden across floating islands driven by ambition and exploration.
- Build homes and live with freedom: Players can gather resources and build their dream home anywhere, whether on top of a waterfall or even inside a volcano. The game also features full Life-Sim systems such as farming and fishing, with monsters helping out, including water-element slimes that can automatically water vegetables.
- Train monsters and soar through the sky: Wild monsters can be defeated and tamed, allowing them to become mounts that carry players across land or through the sky. They can also fight side by side with players in battle.
- Advanced breeding and genetics system: Players can enjoy a deep Breeding system where monsters of the same species can be bred to pass on stats, skills, and special traits to the next generation. This allows players to create powerful and unique partners, while also giving them a chance to discover Rare Color monsters that may take hundreds of hours to find.
- Play solo or party up with friends: The game supports both solo play and online multiplayer, allowing friends to build a community together. Players can divide roles, such as having one person serve as the town architect while another focuses on developing monster bloodlines.
Message from the Development Team: Changing Engines for the Best Result
DC Gan and Welson Gan, the two founders of Magnus Games Studio, shared that they have poured their hearts, souls, and real-life love for pets into this game to create the adventure experience they have always wanted to play.
Masakazu Kobayashi, producer from Shueisha Games, also added that this version of the game has been greatly upgraded since its 2023 announcement. The team made a major decision to change the game engine, which helped push both the graphics and core gameplay much further than before.
He also shared that he was impressed by the dedication of the Magnus Games team and believes players will be able to feel the care placed into every detail.
For players interested in Wild Wild Eden, the game’s Steam store page is now open for wishlisting. Anime-style crafting game fans may want to keep this one on their radar all the way to 2027.
