Splatoon Raiders Players Discover Bug That Can Crash the Game at the Title Screen

Splatoon Raiders has quickly become one of the popular titles on the Nintendo eShop, but some players have encountered a peculiar bug that can unexpectedly force the game back to the Nintendo Switch 2 home menu.

Fortunately, the issue only appears under very specific circumstances and is easy to avoid.

Strange Touchscreen Bug Reported

Reddit user Stardazzle220 shared a clip showing that the crash occurs during the game’s opening title sequence.

At the start of the game, players are presented with a white ink-like loading screen where they can swipe across the touchscreen to create motion effects. However, the player discovered that placing an entire hand flat across the display instead of using a finger can immediately cause the game to crash and return to the system’s home screen.

The user posted the discovery to warn other players not to intentionally recreate the issue while waiting for an official fix.

Although Nintendo has yet to release a patch addressing the problem, players believe the bug may be related to how the Nintendo Switch 2 processes touchscreen input.

Since the console does not support full multi-touch functionality in this scenario, placing multiple contact points on the display may confuse the game’s touch detection and trigger the crash.

The issue only affects handheld mode, meaning players using a TV or monitor with detached controllers should not encounter the bug.
