Gravity has announced good news for Ragnarok fans as Ragnarok M: Eternal Love 2 (Chinese title: 仙境传说：守护永恒的爱2) officially received its ISBN code, the government-issued publishing license required for games in China, on July 23, 2026. This marks another major milestone ahead of the game’s official launch in the country.

Ragnarok M: Eternal Love 2 is an MMORPG jointly developed by GRAVITY Co., Ltd. and X.D. Network Inc., one of China’s leading game developers and publishers. The game is planned for release on both mobile and PC platforms. However, an official launch date has not yet been announced.

The game serves as the sequel to Ragnarok M: Eternal Love, which launched in China in 2017. At the time, it became highly popular by faithfully recreating the charm of Ragnarok Online through its 2D pixel-style visuals while emphasizing the social systems that became one of the series’ defining features.

In the new installment, Ragnarok M: Eternal Love 2 enhances the experience with fully rendered 3D cartoon-style graphics. It also offers players greater freedom to explore through a semi-open world design, delivering a different gameplay experience from its predecessor.

The original title was also a tremendous success in the Chinese market, reaching No. 1 on the Apple App Store China’s Free Games chart and ranking among the country’s Top 20 highest-grossing games. Its success helped restore the popularity of the Ragnarok brand in China.

Receiving an ISBN is considered a positive milestone for the project, as China has a strict game approval process and obtaining an ISBN is a mandatory requirement before a commercial launch.
