PC Demo for Cronos: The New Dawn is Now Available

Horror game fans have a brand-new experience to try. Bloober Team, the developer behind popular horror titles like Layers of Fear and The Medium, has released a free PC demo for their latest game, Cronos: The New Dawn. This demo is immediately available for download. It allows players to experience the critical opening 30 minutes of the game. This crucial early segment introduces players to the game’s core mechanics.

Experience the Merge System

In the demo, players enter the Apartment Zone. This is the first area of the game. It is full of a gloomy atmosphere and deep mystery. Players will also be introduced to the new Merge System. This is a central mechanism of Cronos: The New Dawn. It will significantly impact both the gameplay and the long term storyline.

Players start with one basic weapon, the Traveller’s Handgun. However, they can also utilize a secondary weapon like the Flamethrower. This is useful for pushing back enemies known as “Orphans.” This is highly beneficial in tense situations.

Transfer Progress and Secure a Discount

A highly appealing feature is the ability to carry over all progress from the demo. If a player decides to purchase the game later, their advancement can be instantly transferred to the full version. Currently, the game is running a promotional discount. It offers 15 percent off on the Steam and Epic Games Store. This special offer runs until November 4.

Bloober Team also provided a video. Fans can watch the full 30 minutes of the opening gameplay without playing themselves.

A Retro-Futuristic Survival Story

Cronos: The New Dawn is a third-person survival horror game. Its story is set against an Eastern European background. This location is immersed in a retro-futuristic atmosphere. The setting blends old world elements with ancient perspectives on future concepts. Players take on the role of a secret government agent. This agent travels between the past and the future timelines. In the past, the player encounters a massive shift event. This event has devastating consequences for humanity. Conversely, the future era sees an invasion by alien entities. These strange invaders are ready to tear the player apart. The full game is scheduled for release in 2025. It will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms.
