The TIG: Siege X team has undergone major changes in both the Dual Front system and the free-to-play launch. How do you feel players are responding to this change?

Mr. Alexander Karpazis: The response has been very good, and we’ve seen the largest number of new players since Siege launched. I’m so glad that people are starting to discover Dual Front mode. The team is also preparing to make major improvements to this mode in the future. It’s great that it’s been 10 years. We can still try new things with Siege, and there’s a lot of room for further development.

TIG Team: I would like to know if the Dual Front mode is designed that allows players to attack and defend at the same time. What kind of idea did it come about?

Alexander Karpazis: Dual Front It’s a pretty novel mode, but we’ve kept the “Siege Identity” intact. The purpose of Dual Front is to see if we can create something that allows players to play more freely. Using all the elements of Siege, both offensive and defensive, we saw the game in a longer match, not just short rounds like the modes we’re used to. Simply put, it’s an experiment to see if there are any “new ways” to use Siege’s tactical system.

And what we get from the development of Dual Front can also be built on other modes. For example, the latest event is made possible because of the basis of the Dual Front. Playing with these ideas opens up a lot of new opportunities for us.

TIG Team: After the launch of the free game. What methods do developers use to maintain the quality of the game experience continuously?

Mr. Alexander Karpazis: For us, the main goal is to make it easy for new players to meet their friends so that they can learn and grow together in the journey of Siege.

We’d also like to see players have a “connected channel” through social media or new events to try out, and we’re now working on more of them, such as the Siege Cup, which will be available almost weekly, as well as events that will be added twice a season. From the original only once.

TIG Team: As a strategic shooter with players all over the world, how do you manage the balance of Operators without losing its uniqueness but still being fair?

Alexander Karpazis: We will always maintain the uniqueness and unique capabilities of each operator. Even when remastering or remastering a big role, like we did with Blackbeard, from having a shield on his gun, we removed that shield and adjusted him to still play with the shield in a different angle, which helped keep his character and playstyle the same, and balance the game better, and most importantly…

Ash is one of the most frequently chosen, not only because she is suitable for new players, but also because of her aggressive playstyle.

TIG Team: The addition of the R6 Shield Guard system to prevent cheating is a huge milestone. Don’t know if the development team encountered any challenges in designing this system?

Alexander Karpazis: Our top priority right now is to update the Shield Guard system faster, which is that we’re always one step ahead of the cheaters so they don’t cheat the game. We also want to develop the Anti-Cheat system to be stronger and more effective.

TIG Team: I don’t know how eSports will affect Siege X players?

Alexander Karpazis: Esports is actually a very important part of Siege because it’s a time where players can watch and learn from pro players.

Simply put, esports helps shape the future of the game, and it helps development teams like us see trends. You can also adjust your balance or come up with new ideas that players want to try.

And most importantly, every time there’s a big tournament, it’s a time when we can celebrate the game with the community, to meet, to talk and to hear direct feedback, which we do almost every three months. Esports is a part of Siege’s growth and continuity.

TIG Team: Lastly, I would like to leave a message to the Thai Rainbow Six Siege fans who have been following the game, including the newbies.

Alexander Karpazis: First of all, Our team would like to thank the Thai player community very much. You guys are an important part of Siege’s player base and are very involved in the esports industry, especially in the APEC (Asia-Pacific) zone. Thai people too. The support from everyone is really great, thank you very much. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

On this occasion, we would like to thank Ubisoft and Alexander Karpazis for giving us the opportunity to participate in this exclusive interview. Don’t forget to follow us!
