Fate/Grand Order Breaks Record for Highest Revenue Per Download After 10 Years

Fate/Grand Order Sets All-Time Record for Highest Revenue Per Download. Sensor Tower data confirms the hit RPG remains unstoppable after a decade

Sensor Tower’s latest report has caused a stir in the mobile gaming world, confirming that Fate/Grand Order (FGO), the smash-hit RPG from Aniplex, continues to dominate with a new record for highest Revenue Per Download (RPD) among long-running titles in the Japanese market.

FGO continues to surge after 10 years

Originally launching on Android in July 2015 and iOS the following month, Fate/Grand Order recently celebrated its 10th anniversary. The game has surpassed 12 million downloads in Japan and generated over $6 billion USD (approximately 194.2 billion THB) as of August 15, 2025.

Sensor Tower reports that FGO ranked second in total mobile game revenue in Japan over the past three years, behind only Monster Strike, with Professional Baseball Spirits A and Puzzle & Dragons rounding out the top five.

What sets FGO apart is its extraordinary RPD, consistently more than double that of its closest competitors. This demonstrates the incredible loyalty of its player base and the immense in-game spending it continues to generate.

Another key factor behind FGO’s longevity is its unique player demographics. While many rival titles have over 90% male players, FGO boasts a female player base of more than 30%. The average player age is 29, indicating a core audience ranging from teens to young professionals.

Moreover, over 80% of downloads come from organic growth, with less than 20% attributed to advertising, underscoring the strength of its reputation and quality.

Sensor Tower further predicts that FGO’s popularity will continue to climb, especially with Part 2: Final Chapter set to launch in December 2025, potentially driving revenue to new heights.

This report highlights that Fate/Grand Order is not just a mobile game that has stood the test of time for over a decade it has built an exceptionally loyal fan base and continues to generate massive revenue. Its record-breaking RPD cements the power of this iconic IP in both the Japanese and global gaming markets. As we await the launch of Part 2: Final Chapter later this year, the question remains: can FGO break even more records?
