Tadatsu Novel Maker Launches: Create and Publish Visual Novel Games on Mobile for Free

Japanese indie game developer Tadatsumen has officially launched a new tool called Tadatsu Novel Maker on December 26, 2025. The system is designed for creating visual novel games directly through a smartphone browser, enabling users to build and publish their works entirely for free. No programming skills are required, making it accessible for beginners and hobbyists alike.

The core strength of the tool lies in its simple, block-based system, where users can drag and drop commands to create stories. The platform includes a library of pre-made assets such as backgrounds, characters, and music tracks ready to use. Users can also upload their own artwork and audio files to personalize their games and give them a distinctive style.

Tadatsu Novel Maker supports branching narratives that react to player choices, along with visual effects like screen shakes, color tone changes, and flash effects, which can be added with a single tap. The tool is suitable not only for short games but also for unique applications such as holiday gifts, doujin showcases, or even turning mundane content like recipes into interactive storytelling experiences.

Finished games are shared via a URL, allowing anyone to play instantly on their browser without installing an app. The official website reports numerous user-created games already published, with rankings and categories to explore. Tadatsumen, known for quirky games like If You Don’t Eat Sushi You’ll Die and PIEN, stated that the tool was developed as a personal hobby, with all server costs personally funded to ensure free creative space for everyone.
