NCSOFT UNVEILS PLAYABLE AION 2 AND CINDER CITY DEMOS AT NVIDIA’S KOREAN ‘GEFORCE GAMER FESTIVAL’

Korean Publisher is the Only Game Partner Offering Hands-on Gameplay, Featuring the Latest Playable Builds and Trailers
At NVIDIA’s GeForce Gamer Festival yesterday, NCSOFT partnered with the tech giant to celebrate GeForce’s 25th anniversary in Korea by bringing its two premiere titles, Aion 2 and Cinder City, for attendees to play. The festival featured NCSOFT as the only partner offering hands-on gameplay, giving local visitors the first opportunity to experience the latest playable builds and new trailers for both titles.

NCSOFT’s Chief Business Officer (CBO) and Vice President Sunggu Lee
“NCSOFT has long collaborated with NVIDIA in pursuit of high-quality graphics and new technologies,” said NCSOFT’s Chief Business Officer (CBO) and Vice President Sunggu Lee, while onstage. “We look forward to players’ continued support for Aion 2 and Cinder City, which is being developed using NVIDIA’s latest advancements.”
Aion 2 is NCSOFT’s next-generation MMORPG, counting down to its official launch in Korea and Taiwan on Wednesday, November 19. Aion 2 will arrive in the US and Europe in 2026. Renowned for its stunning visuals and expansive PVE content, the title reimagines the essence of the Aion franchise for a new era. The newly revealed trailer showcases its dynamic class-driven combat system and the iconic flight and gliding mechanics that define the Aion universe.
Seunguk Baek, CBO and Executive Vice President leading the Aion 2’s development, added “We’re developing Aion 2 as the ultimate evolution of Aion experience—preserving the spirit and worldview of the original while pushing the boundaries of our technology.”
Cinder City, developed by NCSOFT’s studio BigFire Games (CEO Jaehyun “James” Bae), is an open-world tactical shooter set in a post-apocalyptic Seoul. Introduced as an RTX flagship title at NVIDIA’s Gamescom event in Cologne, Germany, last August, the latest trailer features urban battlefields inspired by Seoul districts such as Samseong-dong, strategic combat with advanced gear and weapons, and key narrative moments centered around the main character, Joi.
“Cinder City is being developed with NVIDIA’s cutting-edge technology to deliver large-scale co-op gameplay, letting players experience the excitement of teamwork in a vast open-world setting,” said Bae.
THIS IS Our Take
NCSOFT’s decision to be the exclusive provider of hands-on gameplay at NVIDIA’s major Korean event is a clear declaration of intent: they are ready to show off the visual and technical might of their next-generation titles. This partnership reinforces that both Aion 2 and Cinder City are being developed with top-tier graphical fidelity and likely feature advanced NVIDIA technologies like ray tracing. Being the sole hands-on partner creates immense hype, suggesting that NCSOFT is confident its two biggest upcoming games are technically polished enough to stand alone against the might of the competition.
