Assassin’s Creed Mirage “Valley of Memory” Update Launches now available

Ubisoft today announced the launch of the major free update titled Valley of Memory for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, now available globally today for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Steam/PC. This significant content drop adds more than six hours of new narrative, including fresh main missions, assassination targets, side quests, and a richly detailed new area in the desert region of AlUla. In it, players follow Basim on a haunting journey as he investigates rumors that his father is alive, confronting a dangerous band of robbers and uncovering deeper secrets of the land.

The new area includes the old city of AlUla, the sandy expanses of Ramm Valley and the ancient Hegra necropolis, all brought to life with dynamic visuals and layered architecture. Alongside the story expansion Ubisoft has implemented a suite of community-requested additions, including significantly upgraded parkour controls such as manual jump toggles and side/back eject options plus smoother movement across urban and desert environments. Replayable missions now feature time-based challenges with specific conditions (such as no Eagle Vision or stealth only) and exclusive rewards for successful completion. The tools and skill tree have also been expanded: Basim’s Engineer 2 skill node allows Level 1 modifications on all tools, and new Level 3 upgrades enable throwing knives to become explosive, smoke bombs to corrode or hide evidence, and traps to trigger berserk states in downed enemies.

Difficulty settings have been broadened with two new levels: Hardened Assassin and Ultimate Assassin, offering higher enemy defenses and fine-tunable difficulty while retaining permadeath for hardcore players. Completing the game with permadeath activated unlocks unique rewards such as the Obsidian Rayhan costume dye and the Skull Emblem talisman, underscoring Ubisoft’s focus on both accessibility and challenge. The update will download automatically for all players of Assassin’s Creed Mirage and begins when players in-game meet a boy at the Harbiyah Bureau to trigger the lead-in cutscene. Fans may optionally start the new content from the main menu via the Valley of Memory option, which adjusts player level, gear, and skills so the story starts seamlessly without needing to replay the full game.
