Netflix Reveals Laboon and Crocus in One Piece Season 2 Posters
Excitement among One Piece fans is rising again as Netflix released the first official look at Laboon, the giant whale, and Crocus, the lighthouse doctor, for One Piece: Into the Grand Line, the second season of the hit live-action adaptation. The reveal showcases two beloved characters from the early Grand Line arc a pivotal chapter in the Straw Hat Pirates’ journey.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the new season will follow Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) and his crew as they embark on their first voyage into the legendary Grand Line a sea filled with mystery, danger, and new adventures. Among their first encounters is Laboon, the massive yet gentle whale waiting faithfully for the return of his pirate friends.

Laboon is cared for by Crocus, the lighthouse doctor of Twin Cape, portrayed by veteran actor Clive Russell, known for his role as Blackfish Tully in Game of Thrones. The production team has managed to preserve the emotional warmth and bittersweet tone of this memorable story.

Taz Skylar, who plays Sanji, shared his thoughts: “Laboon is playful and curious — it feels like he knows we’re there and just wants to have fun.” Skylar also revealed that the Netflix team built a gigantic physical model of Laboon on set, with its interior meticulously designed to resemble the whale’s stomach, complete with shipwrecks, acid details, and a hauntingly realistic atmosphere.
He added humorously, “The Laboon set had no roof, so when it rained, we all got drenched. One day it poured so hard that we had to hide inside the whale’s belly. It was surreal and hilarious at the same time.”

With attention to detail and respect for the original story, One Piece: Into the Grand Line continues to impress fans with its dedication to capturing the heart of Eiichiro Oda’s beloved series.
