Story Hints Between Two Kingdoms
The game takes place across two kingdoms, Azuria and Vermeil torn apart by the invasion of mysterious crystals. The crystals damage ecosystems and bring monsters into chaos.
At the heart is a mysterious egg, believed to be linked to powers long lost. That egg spawns a pair of Rathalos, one being a legendary Skyscale Rathalos, tied to a war from 200 years prior.
You’ll play as the Heir of Azuria, chosen as the Rathalos Rider and head of the Rangers. Your duty is to protect monsters and uncover truths.
You’ll cross paths with Princess Eleanor of Vermeil, who offers herself as a hostage to ease tensions. She joins your journey alongside her Monstie, Anjanath, to learn the secrets behind the crystal eggs and save both lands.
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is slated for release on March 13, 2026. Platforms include PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC (Steam). This marks a grand return for the Stories series with deep narrative and enriched worldbuilding.
