Samsung Moohan: High-End Android XR Headset 2025

Worlds Wide Open Expected to Unveil AR/VR Glasses

Samsung announced the Worlds Wide Open Galaxy Event on October 21, 2025, which will stage the launch of Project Moohan, a Mixed Reality Headset developed in collaboration with Google and Qualcomm.

Android XR is designed to support a wide range of devices, with AI at the heart of creating immersive experiences that are not limited to games, but extend to work and entertainment, such as exploring the world through Google Maps or watching 180-degree videos on YouTube.

The Project Moohan prototype was tested by journalist Victoria Song in late 2024, and the latest was leaked specs powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chip with a 4.3K micro-OLED screen per eye, which is about 2-3 ounces lighter than the Apple Vision Pro and has 16GB of RAM for optimal performance.

Samsung says Project Moohan is a major step towards unlocking the true potential of XR, which will be streamed on its website and YouTube.

Around the same time, Apple was rumored to launch a new Vision Pro that recently passed FCC certification with the model code A3416. Supports Wi-Fi 6 and improves weight and cooling to correct the same spots.

The competition between Samsung and Apple is hot, with Project Moohan potentially offering a more accessible price, becoming an alternative to the growing XR market.
