Back on December 9, 2025, tabletop developer Weird Co announced the launch of a brand-new Trading Card Game based on the massive Cyberpunk franchise, officially titled ‘Cyberpunk TGC’ (Trading Card Game). They promised a massive Kickstarter campaign for 2026, and fans have been eagerly waiting ever since.
Fast forward to March 17, 2026, the Kickstarter campaign officially went live with an initial funding goal of $100,000 USD. But what happened next was truly mind-blowing: the project successfully reached its entire funding goal in just 5 minutes!!
A “Dream Come True” for the Developers
In their Update #12 post on the campaign page, the Weird Co team expressed that it felt like an absolute dream to reach their goal so incredibly fast. They shared that they had poured an immense amount of time and passion into getting to this point—from meticulously designing the cards and gameplay mechanics to collaborating with talented illustrators and prepping the massive crowdfunding campaign.
Breaking Records and Unlocking Stretch Goals
Weird Co has been continuously unlocking new stretch goal rewards as the funding amount skyrockets. At the time of writing, the campaign has already blasted past the $9.5 million USD milestone!
With 29 days still left on the clock, hitting the $10 million mark is completely within reach. Even at its current standing, Cyberpunk TGC has already claimed the crown as one of the most-funded trading card games in the platform’s history.
