Wild Rift Celebrates 5th Anniversary with Major Patch 6.3 Updates
Wild Rift is ringing in its 5th anniversary in grand style, rolling out a content-packed update that shakes the battlefield. Patch 6.3 brings a new ARAM: Mayhem mode, complete runes revamp, fresh support items, reworked Enchant Boots, and themed celebration events with exclusive rewards.
ARAM: Mayhem — Chaos on the Snow Bridge
The new ARAM: Mayhem blends the fast pace of ARAM with randomized Augments, giving each match a twist. Players can choose to queue into classic ARAM or Mayhem mode separately. Two fan-favorite maps, Butcher’s Bridge and Koeshin’s Crossing, are now permanent fixtures, and map performance has been optimized for smoother play.
Runes Revamp — More Choice, Better Impact
Outside the arena, the rune system gets a complete reboot.
- Keystone Spotlight: Dark Harvest returns, letting you harvest souls from enemies under 50% health to gain permanent attack power.
- New rune options include Celerity (speed boost), Axiom Arcanist (bonus damage, heal, shields, and cooldown reduction), Unshakeable (defensive boost against multiple nearby enemies), Chain Assault (mark enemies then deal bonus damage on follow-up attacks), and Tyrant (boost damage vs low-health champions).
- Removed runes: Mark of the Weak, Pathfinder, and Onslaught.
Support Role Upgrades & New Item: Radiant Virtue
Support players get love too. The new Radiant Virtue item, crafted from Kindlegem + Chain Vest, delivers:
- +300 HP
- +45 Armor
- +15 Ability Haste
Its passive, Guiding Light, temporarily boosts max health and heals you and allies when using your ultimate. It’s a powerful shift for teamplay and sustained engagements. Meanwhile, Dawnshroud and Protector’s Vow were rebalanced to stay relevant.
Boots & Enchant Overhaul
Boot Enchantments have been trimmed and tuned — redundant effects were culled, and Veil Enchant got a full remix. Each remaining enchant now has distinct identity and better balance, giving boots greater strategic weight.
Anniversary Events & Themed Modes
To celebrate five years, Wild Rift introduces Worlds-themed ARAM, a new mini-game called SMASH, and cross-realm anniversary loot from across Runeterra. Expect exclusive cosmetics, commemorative gear, and event rewards tailored for long-time players and newcomers alike.
