Epic Games Shuts Down Fortnite Ballistic and Rocket Racing

Epic Games Announces the Shutdown of Fortnite Ballistic and Rocket Racing, Festival Battle Stage Ending April 16

While Fortnite has been full of surprises over the past several seasons, it seems this latest announcement has left players completely shocked. Epic Games has released an official statement regarding the termination of two major in-game experiences, as well as one mode from a popular game. The following will be directly affected: the racing game Rocket Racing, the PvP FPS game Fortnite Ballistic, and the Festival – Battle Stage.

Rocket Racing will cease issuing new quests starting next week, meaning players will no longer be able to earn XP from this specific game mode. Furthermore, all racing tracks will be removed from the UEFN section, and the game will permanently shut down this October. However, this will not affect any car-related cosmetic items within the game, which can still be used normally in the standard Battle Royale mode.

Next up, Fortnite Ballistic and the Festival Battle Stage will officially close down on April 16. Despite the shutdown of Ballistic, Epic Games will continue to provide the FPS camera template so that creators can use it to develop other custom games in the future.

Aside from these closures, all other games within Fortnite will continue to operate normally. Fortnite Festival’s core modes will remain active, providing continuous service for both the Main Stage and the Jam Stage. The primary reason Epic Games decided to cancel these specific services is that the development team felt all three experiences failed to attract a large enough player base. There are currently no plans to bring them back in the future, but the team expressed their sincere gratitude to everyone who played and was a part of the community.

About Fortnite

Fortnite (which fully supports the Thai language) is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and next-generation platforms. The game features the Save the World mode, a Tower Defense experience where players team up to build traps and defend their bases from zombies across various missions. It also includes the globally massive Battle Royale mode, which serves as the core heart of the game, alongside massive Sandbox experiences where players can design their own custom gameplay.
