NVIDIA has announced that the Blackwell architecture will be integrated into GeForce NOW—marking the platform’s most significant update yet. This upgrade introduces GeForce RTX 5080-class GPUs, featuring NVIDIA’s DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation technology, enabling streaming at up to 5K resolution and 120 frames per second, and enhanced AI-driven features to elevate gamers’ experience.
This update will instantly double the number of available games on GeForce NOW to over 4,500 titles by introducing an “Install-to-Play” feature. This allows users to access their PC game libraries and upcoming AAA releases via the cloud. The new Cinematic Quality Streaming (CQS) mode boosts visual fidelity through Blackwell’s technology, including support for YUV 4:4:4 color sampling and 10-bit HDR—offering richer colors, deeper contrast, and vivid detail.
The Blackwell architecture enhances AI-powered rendering and ray tracing capabilities, delivering lifelike lighting, finely detailed textures, and faster processing power. On the Ultimate tier, RTX 5080-class GPUs deliver a massive 62 teraflops of compute power and 48 GB of VRAM—up to 2.8× faster than previous-generation servers and over 3× the performance of the PlayStation 5 Pro.
Device compatibility continues to expand—support now includes up to 90 fps streaming on Steam Deck, 4K at 120 Hz on supported LG TVs, and integration with Discord and Epic Games for more interconnected gaming experiences. This upgrade will roll out in September 2025, with no changes to membership pricing.
Strengthened by partnerships with network providers like Comcast and Deutsche Telekom AG, this update reduces latency and delivers smooth gameplay. NVIDIA’s Reflex technology enables click-to-pixel response times as low as 30 milliseconds.
