How to Change Hair Color in Where Winds Meet

In the vast world of Where Winds Meet, the character customization system stands out as one of the most impressive features, allowing players to shape their martial hero in their own unique style. From hairstyles and facial hair to facial structure, the game offers a wide range of options. However, one of the earliest questions many players ask is: how do you change your character’s hair color? While some customization is available during initial creation, the more advanced color options are locked behind specific items and in game currencies. What You Need to Change Hair Color

Although players can freely recolor facial hair and eyebrows, the hair dyeing system works differently. Hair color changes require specific items that act as currency for dyeing. These items come in two types based on the intensity and brightness of the color you want to achieve:

Inkshade Hairdye
Used for basic and softer tone dyes
Costs 5 Essence of Earth per piece

Timeless Hairdye
Used for bright, vivid, and more striking colors
Obtained from Hairdye Giftbox which costs 1 Harmonic Core per set

Steps for Dyeing Hair

Once you collect enough Inkshade Hairdye or Timeless Hairdye, you can begin the dyeing process with the following steps:

  1. Open the Appearance menu
  2. Select the Workshop tab
  3. Choose the Dye option
  4. Select the hairstyle you want to dye

Important Things to Know

  • Not every hairstyle can be dyed
  • Dyeable hairstyles have a small rainbow icon at the bottom right corner of their thumbnail
  • Some default hairstyles do not support dyeing

After choosing a hairstyle, players must select whether to use Basic Hair Dye (Inkshade Hairdye) or Advanced Hair Dye (Timeless Hairdye). You can customize three hair sections: Basic (base color), Gradient (two tone effect), and Highlights (accent lighting). Once you finish adjusting the colors, press Save to apply the final result.
