Razer Unveils Forge AI Dev Workstation at CES 2026

Razer, a brand long associated with gaming hardware, made a major statement at CES 2026 with the unveiling of the Razer Forge AI Dev Workstation. This marks the company’s first workstation computer designed specifically for AI developers, signaling a clear strategic move beyond the gaming audience and into the professional market for researchers, engineers, and AI specialists.

The launch demonstrates Razer’s serious commitment to expanding its customer base from gamers to enterprise and research-focused users who require high-performance computing for artificial intelligence workloads.

Built Specifically for AI Development

While Razer has previously positioned high-end laptops such as the Blade 18 for advanced computational tasks, Forge AI represents a completely different approach. Rather than adapting an existing gaming product, this workstation was built from the ground up to handle AI training and inference workloads.

The system integrates enterprise-level processing power within a chassis that still reflects Razer’s sleek design philosophy, combining professional functionality with the brand’s signature aesthetic.

Enterprise-Grade Hardware Specifications

Forge AI is designed to support up to four professional-grade GPUs, compatible with both NVIDIA and AMD solutions. At its core, the workstation is powered by an AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro processor and features eight DDR5 memory slots, enabling high-speed handling of massive datasets and large language models.

This configuration allows developers to run complex AI workloads smoothly, making it suitable for demanding research and production environments.

Designed for Continuous Operation

To support intensive workloads around the clock, Forge AI includes a high-capacity 2,000-watt power supply and is engineered for rack-mount installation, making it ideal for data centers and clustered computing environments.

The workstation also comes equipped with dual 10Gb Ethernet ports, significantly improving data transfer speeds across enterprise networks and reducing bottlenecks during large-scale AI processing.

Razer AIKit and Local AI Ecosystem

Alongside the hardware announcement, Razer introduced Razer AIKit, an open-source software platform designed to simplify GPU management and AI model configuration for local deployment. AIKit integrates seamlessly with Forge AI, allowing developers to manage workloads more efficiently on their own machines.

Razer has not yet disclosed pricing or a fixed release date for Forge AI. The workstation will be offered as a custom-built solution, with interested clients required to contact Razer’s sales team directly.
