Resident Evil Requiem Hides Classic RE2 Location for Fans

Resident Evil Requiem Hides a Location from the Original Resident Evil 2
Even though it follows the remake timeline, thereโs a special Easter egg for longtime fans
Next month, players will be able to enjoy new mini-game content in Resident Evil Requiem, along with potential news about future story expansions expected to be teased around the same time. However, many players are still enjoying exploring the various locations within Raccoon City, the origin of the biohazard outbreak that has spanned decades. Recently, an interesting discovery has surfaced.
A dedicated lore-focused user known as Resident Bio Evil revealed that although Requiem follows the narrative based on the Resident Evil 2 remake timeline, which reinterprets the story in a different universe, the game actually includes a hidden reference to the original version as well.
During the late stages of the game, while Leon is exploring the ruins of the city, players can encounter a creepy parking lot area.
Some players may not immediately recognize this location. In the original Resident Evil 2, specifically in Scenario B, the game begins on a road behind the police station. Upon entering through a gated entrance, players arrive at a parking lot connected to a yellow room that leads to stairs heading up to the rooftop.
In contrast, the remake version reinterprets this section differently. During the 2nd Run, characters enter through a front-facing entrance instead, approaching from different sides. Notably, the parking lot area does not appear in that versionโs storyline.
