Mistfall Hunter Open Beta Now Live on PC and Consoles

Players waiting for Mistfall Hunter can now try the game before its full release. Bellring Games and Skystone Games have opened the game’s Open Beta, giving players one final chance to experience its dark fantasy extraction action ahead of launch.

The Open Beta is available for free from now until June 22 on PC and consoles, including access through Steam Next Fest.

A Dark Fantasy PvPvE Extraction ARPG

Mistfall Hunter is a PvPvE extraction ARPG set in a dark fantasy world inspired by ancient knights, fallen gods, and deadly mist-covered battlefields.

Players can team up with friends and enter large maps filled with monsters, rival players, and valuable loot. The goal is simple but dangerous: survive, collect treasure, and escape before everything goes wrong.

If players die during a run, they can lose the items they collected. That risk-and-reward loop gives the game its main tension, especially when enemy creatures and opposing squads can both become serious threats.

Team Up or Fight Alone

Players can enter the battlefield solo or form a squad with friends. Team composition matters because each class offers different skills and combat roles.

The game encourages players to coordinate attacks, cover each other, and choose the right abilities for each run. Whether players want to fight aggressively, control enemies, support allies, or survive longer in dangerous zones, class choice can shape the whole experience.

This gives Mistfall Hunter a more tactical layer beyond simple action combat.

New Hallowgrave Map and Withered Knight Class

The Open Beta includes new content for players to test.

One of the key additions is Hallowgrave, a new map that can appear randomly during the test. The beta also introduces the Withered Knight class for the first time, giving players another combat style to try before the full release.

The test version also includes balance adjustments designed to make gameplay smoother and improve the overall experience.

Progress Will Not Carry Over

Players should note that Open Beta progress will not transfer to the full game.

However, the source states that certain cosmetic items will receive additional unlocks when the game officially launches. This gives testers a small bonus while keeping the full release fair for all players.

Full Release Planned for July

Mistfall Hunter is planned for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in late July. The source lists the launch for July 30, while the Steam page currently lists July 29, likely due to regional timing differences.

Players interested in the game can visit the Steam page now to download the demo, follow updates, and add the game to their wishlist.

Mistfall Hunter has a strong hook for players who enjoy extraction gameplay but want something darker, heavier, and more fantasy-driven than the usual shooter setup. The mix of Souls-like action, class teamwork, monster encounters, PvP pressure, and loot risk gives the Open Beta plenty of tension. If the final version can balance combat, rewards, and survival pressure properly, this could become one of the more interesting extraction ARPG releases of the year.
