Star Fox Remake Copyright Credits Feature Industry Giants

Huge Industry Names Appear in Star Fox Presentation Credits

Retro gamers across Southeast Asia were surprised during the recent 15 minute presentation for the new Star Fox remake. While the game itself focuses on the classic adventures of Fox McCloud the end credits featured a massive list of third party companies. Fans spotted names like CAPCOM, SEGA, SNK, Bandai Namco, Microsoft, and even Disney. This led to immediate confusion as players wondered if these companies were involved in the development of the Nintendo Switch 2 title.

The Smash Bros Connection Behind the Massive Credits List

The mystery was quickly solved by industry insiders who pointed out a five second clip near the end of the video. During a montage showing the history of the franchise the presentation briefly featured footage from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. In this short segment Fox and Falco are seen battling on a space themed stage. Because that game includes guest characters from various companies Nintendo is legally required to list all copyright holders for the software shown.

Even though no guest characters like Sora from Disney or Steve from Microsoft were actually on screen the credits had to be thorough. The copyright for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a whole includes all its collaborative partners. This legal formality meant that a tiny five second nostalgic clip resulted in a credits roll that looked like a major industry crossover. It highlights the complex web of licensing that Nintendo manages within its popular crossover fighting game series.

A Reimagined Journey Through the Lylat System

The upcoming Star Fox is a complete remake of the iconic Nintendo 64 title with a more realistic art style. It features expanded lore for the team members along with new cutscenes and a dedicated prologue mission. The game is scheduled to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on June 25 2026. Players in Southeast Asia can already add the game to their eShop wishlist to prepare for the return of the Arwing. This new version aims to bring the classic rail shooter experience to a modern generation with updated online features.

Seeing Microsoft and Disney in a Star Fox video is the ultimate jumpscare for any Nintendo fan! It is hilarious how a tiny five second clip of Smash Bros can trigger a legal avalanche that makes it look like the whole industry helped build the game. While the credits might be crowded the focus is still on Fox and the crew in their brand new Arwings. June 25 cannot come soon enough for those of us who have been waiting to do a barrel roll on the Switch 2!
