League of Legends Adds Locke In Patch 26.13

League Of Legends Reveals Locke, A New Champion Hunting the Darkness Inside Human Souls

Riot Games and League of Legends have officially revealed Locke, the newest champion preparing to enter the Rift in Patch 26.13.

Known as an ashen exorcist who uses forbidden knowledge, ritual nails, and demon-banishing rites, Locke brings a darker edge to Demacia’s world. His design focuses on aggression, pursuit, marking weakened enemies, and finishing them before they can escape.

Instead of appearing as a noble knight or righteous hero, Locke is presented as someone who understands that demons are not always the root of darkness. Sometimes, they are the result of what already exists inside the human heart.

Corvin Locke Comes From Demacia’s Darker Side

Corvin Locke is the descendant of dark arts practitioners in Demacia.

He grew up surrounded by lies, false appearances, and twisted truths. From a young age, he learned that the most frightening thing was not always the demon hiding in the shadows.

For Locke, the real monster is the human heart that allows darkness to be born in the first place.

Now, Locke hunts down the secrets hidden inside every soul. He believes that by tearing open those truths and banishing demons one by one, he can make the world more honest, even if his methods are brutal and forbidden.

His philosophy is summed up in one chilling idea: people may call demons evil, but the real beast is humanity itself.

A Champion Built Around Pursuit And Punishment

Locke is designed as a champion who hunts, marks, and punishes weakened enemies.

His skill set revolves around soul nails, forbidden rituals, mobility tools, and powerful finishing effects. Players who use Locke will need to read the rhythm of battle carefully, close the gap at the right moment, and eliminate marked enemies before they can escape.

This makes him a champion for players who enjoy aggressive decision-making.

Locke does not simply wait for a fight to happen. His kit encourages players to identify vulnerable targets, pressure them with marks, and keep chasing once the enemy team starts falling apart.

Passive: Silver Stake

Locke’s passive ability is Silver Stake.

His attacks pin the enemy’s soul, dealing bonus magic damage on hit. This damage becomes stronger based on the target’s missing health.

That means Locke becomes more dangerous as enemies grow weaker.

This passive supports his execution-style gameplay. The more damaged a target becomes, the more threatening Locke’s attacks feel, making him a serious danger during extended fights or clean-up situations.

Q: Ritual Nails

Locke’s Q ability is Ritual Nails.

With this skill, Locke takes a set of soul nails and throws them forward, dealing magic damage and marking enemies that are hit. The nails also slow enemies based on the number of stacks applied.

When Locke attacks a marked enemy, the soul nails activate and deal magic damage based on the number of stacks.

The skill also reduces its cooldown and refunds some mana depending on how many nails were not used.

This makes Ritual Nails a key setup tool. It allows Locke to mark enemies, slow them, and prepare them for follow-up attacks.

W: Soul Ignition

Locke’s W ability is Soul Ignition.

When activated, Locke releases his own seal to gain increased movement speed. This movement speed gradually decreases over time.

However, the power comes with a cost. While the effect is active, Locke takes true damage every second based on a percentage of his health.

To balance that risk, he restores part of the health from the damage he receives. He also gains additional healing over time, with recovery affected by his missing health.

The seal lasts for a set duration, but players can activate the skill again to cancel it early.

This ability gives Locke a dangerous chase tool. It helps him move quickly and close distance, but players need to manage the health cost carefully.

E: Ashen Pursuit

Locke’s E ability is Ashen Pursuit.

He warps to a target location and deals magic damage around himself. After that, his next attack causes him to dash toward the target, dealing magic damage to all enemies in his path.

These attacks also activate his soul nails.

Most importantly, the cooldown of Ashen Pursuit resets when Locke takes down an enemy.

This makes the ability extremely dangerous in fights where enemies are already low. Once Locke secures one takedown, he can continue pursuing the next target, turning a collapsing fight into a full chase sequence.

R: Purgatory

Locke’s ultimate ability is Purgatory.

He kicks a binding object toward a target location. When it arrives, the object releases chains of soul nails toward enemies in range, dealing magic damage and slowing them.

Marked champions whose health falls below a certain threshold are pulled inside and executed instantly.

If a champion is killed by this effect, the confinement duration for other champions resets.

After a short period, the ancient object seals itself. If a champion is sealed inside, the object remains on the ground. When Locke picks it up, he permanently increases his execution threshold and reduces his current cooldown based on the number of champions sealed inside.

This ultimate gives Locke a terrifying finishing tool. It rewards him for marking enemies, catching weakened champions, and chaining executions during chaotic fights.

Locke Brings A Darker Demacia To The Rift

Locke is not just another champion with a dark visual theme.

His story pushes players deeper into the hidden side of Demacia, a region often associated with justice, order, and anti-magic ideology. Through Locke, Riot Games explores a figure who does not trust purity, righteousness, or the surface-level goodness of people.

He uses forbidden methods because he believes the truth inside the soul matters more than appearances.

That makes him an interesting contrast to Demacia’s more traditional heroic image.

Arriving In Patch 26.13

Locke will join League of Legends in Patch 26.13.

Players can expect a champion built around aggressive movement, enemy marking, soul nail interactions, and execution pressure.

For players who enjoy hunting low-health enemies, chaining fights, and punishing anyone who tries to escape, Locke could become one of the most intense new picks to master.

More details about League of Legends and Locke will be available through the official League of Legends Thailand channels.

Locke looks like a strong addition to League of Legends because he brings both gameplay identity and dark narrative flavor. His soul nails, movement tools, self-risking power, reset-based pursuit, and execution ultimate make him feel built for players who enjoy decisive, aggressive fights. At the same time, his connection to Demacia’s darker side gives him a sharper personality than a standard monster hunter. If his numbers are balanced well, Locke could become a terrifying pick for players who love chasing weakened enemies until no one escapes.
